2026 Prep Baseball Oregon Player of the Year - Teagan Scott

South Salem senior Teagan Scott has won the 2026 Prep Baseball Oregon Player of the Year Award.

An incredible talent and a player who has been near the top of the Oregon 2026 player rankings list, Scott was on top of his game all spring long for the Saxons. The Oregon State commit hit .568, reaching base at nearly a .700 clip with plenty of power potential shown throughout, slugging 1.203 overall.

Across 28 games played, the senior totaled 42 hits, 24 of them going for extra bases. Scott slugged 11 home runs, adding 35 RBI and 46 runs scored. The strike zone discipline was on another level as well this season for the senior, drawing 30 walks while striking out just 7 times.

Prep Baseball staff has gotten multiple looks at the backstop over the years, carrying the load for one of the top 6A programs in the state. The defensive has carried maturity and skill at the catcher position, with strong framing, blocking, and throwing tools shown.

Scott was on top of his game in a live look earlier this spring, blasting two home runs and reaching base 4 times in late March. Scott was a catalyst for the Saxon offense that day and all spring long, carrying them to a 19-9 record.

Scott also earned Prep Baseball Oregon's Hitter of the Week award with a huge set of games in the first week of gameplay this spring. This was Scott's second consecutive year earning HOTW honors.

Heading into the summer, Scott carries MLB Draft upside, with the potential to make an early impact at the collegiate level if he chooses to forego the Draft.

Stay tuned next week for our unveiling of the 2026 Prep Baseball All-State Teams...
