Team Wisconsin kicked off the 2026 Prep Baseball Future Games on Thursday, falling to Team Missouri 11-5.

GAME ONE:

RHP Tyson Resch (Menomonee Falls, 2028) took the mound to start the game for Team Wisconsin, throwing a scoreless, 13 pitch first inning, utilizing a fastball at 85-88 mph, topping at 89 and mixing in a slider in the upper 70's with feel to spin (2,600+ rpm).

RHP Carter Unger (Kewaskum, 2028) would enter the game as the first arm out of the bullpen for Team Wisconsin and record a strikeout in one scoreless inning of work, utilizing a two pitch mix with the fastball at 88-91 mph and a slider at 74-77 mph. 6-foot-4, 184-pound frame and currently the top ranked RH arm in Wisconsin, Unger is a name to keep an eye on with August 1st approaching. 

C Tavin Nass (Franklin, 2028) turned heads in game one, producing consistent hard contact including a home run over the right-center field wall that left the bat at 97.3 mph, giving Team Wisconsin the lead in the bottom of the third inning. 

MIF Eli Hart (Bay Port, 2028) collected two doubles in the contest and plated a run in favor of Team Wisconsin, both of which left the bat at EV's north of 95 mph.   

C Toay Ragatz (Lancaster, 2028) added a double of his own, this one leaving the bat at 98.9 mph. 

Despite taking an early lead, Team Wisconsin would eventually fall to Team Missouri 11-5. Action would continue Saturday with two games, one against Team Indiana and Team Illinois respectively. 

GAME TWO:

After inclement weather haulted play on Friday, Team Wisconsin resumed play on Saturday, falling to Team Indiana 7-1. 

RHP Nicky Vitucci (Whitefish Bay, 2028) toed the rubber for Team Wisconsin in game two, collecting one strikeout in two hitless innings of work without allowing a run. One of the top ranked arms in the state, Vitucci leaned heavily on the fastball at 81-85.9 mph (19" avg HM) and changeup at 72-75 mph (17" avg HM) while flashing a slider at 72 mph. 

INF Kallen Magli (Sun Prairie West, 2028) sparked the offense for Team Wisconsin, leading the game off with a double down the left field line. He would turn around an 89.9 mph fastball and send it into the left-center field gap (92.6 mph EV) for another double later in the game as well. 

C Braedon Paczocha (Mukwonago, 2028) would drive in the lone run of the game for Team Wisconsin on a double to the left-center field gap. Currently the top ranked backstop in Wisconsin, Paczocha showcased a gap-to-gap approach and consistent feel for the barrel, producing hard contact throughout each of the three contests this week. 

C Braedon Paczocha (Mukwonago, 2028) lines one hard back up the middle for a base hit.

RHP Maxwell Webb (Port Washington, 2028) would enter in relief and settle in, collecting three strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work while showcasing feel for four pitches with the fastball at 83-87 mph, the curveball at 72-74 mph (-8.2" avg IVB), the slider at 73-78 mph (-10.3" avg HM) and the changeup at 78 mph. 

Team Wisconsin would fall to Team Indiana 7-1. 

 GAME THREE:

The third and final game for Team Wisconsin featured a matchup against Team Illinois.

LHP Colton Meier (Wisconsin Lutheran, 2028) provided an intriguing look in relief, recording a strikeout in one scoreless inning of work utilizing a three pitch mix with the fastball at 81-84 mph, the slider at 68-72 mph, and a changeup at 73 mph. 

INF/ATH Cash Olsen (Tomahawk, 2028) plated a run for Team Wisconsin, continuing his big week with multiple barrels in the contest.

INF/ATH Cole Pettijohn (East Troy, 2028) would reach base three times in as many trips to the plate, including a base hit to left field that plated a run.

LHP Malachi Schoonover (Craig, 2028) provided an intriguing look from the left side in relief, utilizing a three pitch mix with the fastball at 81-86 mph, the breaking ball at 69-70 mph, and the changeup at 74 mph. Currently the top ranked LHP in WI.

Team Wisconsin would fall to Team Illinois 9-5.
