2026 Prep Baseball Future Games: MVP & MVPitcher

EMERSON, GA - The 2026 Prep Baseball Future Games took place July 22-25 at the LakePoint Sports Complex, drawing 495 college coaches from across the country to evaluate the nation’s top uncommitted talent in the 2028 class.

Team Mississippi made the most of the spotlight, turning heads with a strong showing during both the workout session and three days of competitive gameplay.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER

Drew Stanton C / OF / Myrtle Attendance Center, MS / 2028

Drew Stanton earned Team Mississippi Future Games MVP honors after turning in one of the most productive offensive performances of the event for Mississippi. The Myrtle catcher hit .500 (4-for-8) with three singles, a double, and five RBIs, consistently delivering in run-producing situations. Stanton showed a mature approach at the plate, staying on the barrel and using the entire field while providing quality at-bats throughout the weekend. His ability to produce hard contact and drive in runs made him a key piece of Team Mississippi's offensive success and highlighted why he continues to be one of the top catching prospects in the state's 2028 class.

MOST VALUABLE PITCHER

Parker Israel 3B / RHP / Hernando, MS / 2028

Parker Israel earned Team Mississippi Future Games MVPitcher honors after delivering one of the most dominant outings of the event. The physical 6-foot-2, 215-pound right-hander worked two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out two. Israel attacked hitters with a lively fastball at 89-91 mph, commanding both sides of the plate and overpowering hitters with his present strength. He paired it with a sharp 79-82 mph slider that generated empty swings and weak contact, while also showing confidence in an 83-84 mph changeup with quality arm speed and separation. Israel's combination of power stuff, strike-throwing ability, and commanding presence on the mound made him the clear choice for Team Mississippi's MVP honors and further cemented his status as one of the premier arms in the state's 2028 class.
