This is the week of the 17U National Championship, taking place July 15-21 at LakePoint in Emerson, Ga., primarily featuring players from the Class of 2027. Well over 2,000 players are headed to LakePoint this weekend, and more than half of them are currently ranked on their home state's Prep Baseball rankings.
Each day, we'll be highlighting the top performances and recapping all the games inside of this Daily Roundup series.

For Richmond Braves 2027 Platinum, LHP Dylan Maddox (No. 217 state) was sharp despite the loss — 4 strikeouts and 8 whiffs across 3.0 innings sitting 84-87 (T88) — while C Joshua King (VA) and SS Matthew Miller (VA; No. 136 state) each went 2-for-the-day with a double, with J. Pennix drawing a walk that plated the Braves' lone run in the fifth.

Batters Box Scout broke it open with a four-run fourth to turn a comfortable lead into a rout, rolling to the shutout at LakePoint 11. OF Casey Wheeler (MS) handled the pitching side efficiently, working five innings with 6 strikeouts, 7 whiffs, and just 2 hits while sitting 77-80 (T81). At the plate, SS Houston Jenkins (TN) went 3-for-3 with two doubles, and 3B Jacob Bateman (TN; No. 80 state) added a 2-hit effort; Brody Abernathy provided the big swing with a two-run homer in the second, and the fourth-inning surge was fueled by an RBI hit-by-pitch from Bateman and a sacrifice fly from SS Preston Sumner (TN; No. 25 state). For Ghost National 17U, RHP Nick Speckenbach (NY) showed some pop with a double in a limited sample.

Canes Virginia 17U National erupted for three runs in the top of the second to seize control and never relinquished it, surviving a tight 4-3 finish at LakePoint 12. RHP Jett Little (MA; No. 21 state) was the story on the mound, working 2.2 innings with four strikeouts, zero walks, and eight whiffs while sitting 91-93 (T94) — a crisp, efficient outing that set the tone early. L. Zajac's RBI single to center and B. Faulkner's RBI single fueled the decisive frame. RHP Sammy Ranson (VA; No. 49 state) added a double for the Canes. For SCP 2027, Dylan Johnson provided the highlight with a solo home run in the second, and 2B Brody Morris (NC; No. 161 state) doubled in a losing effort.

Top Tier IN seized a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth on a solo shot from **RHP Jack Davis (IN; No. 153 state)** — his two-hit day included the go-ahead blast — but Next Level Brewers answered to walk off with a 3-2 win, scoring once in the sixth and twice in the seventh. On the mound for Top Tier, **RHP Alex Gilliam (IN; No. 33 state)** sat 87-89 (T90) across 5.2 innings, posting five strikeouts and 12 whiffs; **C Brady Haynes** added a double, as did **OF Myles Steury (IN; No. 166 state)**. For Next Level Brewers, **OF JoJo DiSanza** sat 69-81 (T83) over three innings with five punchouts and seven whiffs; **SS Kayden Bates (NY)** and **C Michael Cotto (NY)** each went 2-for-the-day, and M. King's RBI groundout to first in the sixth was a key piece of the comeback.

**Canes Midwest Gold 17U 5, Snyder Bucks 17u 3** Canes Midwest Gold 17U had been held even through five innings before erupting for three runs in the top of the sixth to pull away for good. R. Brenneman's infield single plated a run during the decisive frame, and E. Hulzebos added another with a sacrifice fly to left to put the game out of reach. 2B Caden Phelps (KY; No. 96 state) and 3B Isaiah Hopkins each contributed doubles for Canes Midwest. For Snyder Bucks, C Connor Doxey (VA) went deep in the first to stake his club to the early lead, and 1B Miles Lilburn (VA; No. 194 state) tripled in his lone hit. LHP William Raftery sat 77-79 (T81) over 3.1 innings, generating nine whiffs and striking out four.

Team Ohio Pro Select pulled away with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to complete an 8-0 shutout of Ottawa Nepean Canadians, having already built a 4-0 cushion through four innings. Mike Miller set the tone early, working two hitless frames with three strikeouts and six whiffs while sitting 82-85 (T86). At the plate, 1B Brennan Shafer (OH) went 2-for-2 and delivered the blow in the fifth, singling home two to push the lead to six; A. Peluso followed with an RBI walk and M. Hart added a stolen base of home to cap the frame. OF Caden Stokes (PA), OF Drake Bouscher (OH; No. 84 state), and SS Eahn Stevenson each contributed a double for Ohio Pro Select. Ottawa Nepean had no answer on the scoreboard.

**Knights National 3, HD Baseball 2027 2** Knights National seized control with a two-run second inning, getting the decisive blow when M. Long singled to drive in two and push the lead to 2-0 in a game they'd never relinquish. On the mound, **1B Beckett Haselhun (TN)** was the story early, generating 16 whiffs across 2.2 innings while striking out seven and allowing just one hit, sitting 87-89 (T90); **RHP Carter Lewis (TN)** followed with two clean frames, and **RHP Luke Gossett** finished it with two more strikeouts, sitting 84-85 (T86). At the plate, **C Will Britt (TN; No. 38 state)** went 2-for-the-day, and **OF Jayden Pearl (TN; No. 76 national)** added a double, with C. Maupin's RBI single in the fourth providing the game's final margin. For HD Baseball 2027, C. Seely's RBI single in the fourth made it a one-run game, but Knights National's bullpen held firm through the seventh.

**Michigan Bulls – Marten 13, Performance Carolina National 1** Michigan Bulls – Marten turned a 2-0 lead into a rout by erupting for five runs in the top of the third, then added three more in the fourth and three again in the fifth to close it out in mercy-rule fashion. The engine on both sides of the ball was 3B Jackson Surma (MI; No. 38 state), who took the mound and sat 80-83 (T84) over five innings, punching out six and generating 11 whiffs while allowing just four hits and two walks; Surma also went deep in the fourth with a three-run shot. Rafael Valdovinos supplied the go-ahead single during the big third and finished 2-for-3, while C Cameron Thorning (MI; No. 346 national) added a double. For Performance Carolina National, Brady Pierson went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run in the third, and OF Jack Devitt (NC) contributed a double.

**Game On Stealth 17U 5, RCS Warpath Gold 3** Game On Stealth 17U blew the game open with a four-run second inning, riding that cushion to a 5-3 decision over RCS Warpath Gold at Adairsville Varsity. T. Denmark's two-RBI single and G. Tomlinson's run-scoring single were the key blows in that decisive frame. OF Brooks Stella (GA; No. 143 state) paced the Stealth offense with a two-hit effort. For Warpath Gold, 1B Andrew Yost (PA) kept things interesting with a two-run home run in the fourth, but the deficit proved too steep to overcome.

**Engaged Athletics 17u Black 3, Canes Midwest American 2027 14** Canes Midwest American 2027 turned a 3-2 deficit into a rout by erupting for seven runs in the bottom of the third, then tacked on seven more in the fourth to put it away early. The offensive engine was 2B Kasen Jessup (IN; No. 66 state), who drilled a three-run homer in that third-inning burst and finished 2-for-the-day with a double; OF Lincoln Hoffman (IN; No. 36 state) added a two-run triple in the same frame to fuel the surge. 3B Gavin Stanislawski (IL; No. 382 national) followed in the fourth with a three-run shot of his own, while 2B Zac Wittenauer (OH; No. 197 state) went 2-for-the-day with a double, 1B Nathan Waters doubled, and RHP Bo Blondi (No. 59 state) chipped in a multi-hit afternoon to round out a balanced Canes attack.

The Dirtbags 17U Platinum put this one away early, erupting for five runs in the bottom of the third to push their lead to 8-0 and cruise to the shutout. **RHP Hudson Czajkowski (VA)** set the tone on the mound, sitting 80-83 (T84) across 4.1 innings with four strikeouts, seven whiffs, and just one walk while surrendering two hits. At the plate, **OF Brayden Funk** went 2-for-3 with a two-run double in the third, and **C Logan Havekost (VA)** added a two-run double of his own in the same frame; **2B Brady Mamula (MD; No. 122 state)** chipped in a multi-hit effort as well. For Devine Baseball, **C Brandon Fox (GA; No. 343 state)** provided the lone extra-base knock with a double.

**Power Baseball 2027 Marucci 16, Marucci Prospects 17U National 5** The first inning looked like a slugfest in the making — OF Daniel Padilla (FL; No. 178 national) launched a three-run homer and Marucci Prospects answered immediately with a three-run shot of their own from Payton Kostial — but Power Baseball 2027 Marucci put it away with an eight-run fourth to turn a tight early contest into a rout. OF Diego Rodriguez (FL; No. 168 state) delivered the key blow in that frame, a two-RBI double that keyed the surge. LHP Grady Stevens (FL) was sharp through three innings, generating 11 whiffs while sitting 80-82 (T83) with six strikeouts against two walks. SS Nathaniel Sabino (FL; No. 158 national) went 2-for-the-day with two doubles, and 1B Joey Waddingham (FL; No. 106 state) added a double as well. For Marucci Prospects, SS Truman Sermon (ID) was the most consistent bat, going 2-for-2 alongside Kostial's early blast.

DCP 2027 broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third, plating all three of its runs to close out a 3-0 victory over Georgia Bombers 17u Scout at Rockmart Baseball Field. Herring set the tone on the mound, working six innings and racking up 8 strikeouts on 14 whiffs while sitting 83-83 (T85); 3B Justin OConnor (DE) doubled home a run in the frame, and T. Weber added an RBI single to do the bulk of the damage. 2B Mark Spoor (DE; No. 65 state) went 2-for-the-day to pace the DCP offense. For Georgia Bombers, OF Mathis Powell delivered a quality opener — 3.1 innings, three strikeouts, six whiffs, zero walks — and OF Hudson Williams (GA; No. 222 state) kept the lineup honest with a two-hit, one-double afternoon against a pitcher who otherwise dominated the card.

**Metro Senators PSL 5, Titans Scout Team 17U 1** Metro Senators PSL seized control in the bottom of the second, plating two runs to open a lead they never relinquished, with N. Schnare singling home a run and J. Simons adding another on a groundout to make it 2-0. RHP Nathan Schnare (VA) was the story on the mound — working all seven innings, striking out 13 against zero walks on just 16 whiffs while sitting 81-85 (T86) and limiting Titans to two hits. Schnare also contributed at the plate with that key RBI single. OF Ethan Simoneau (VA; No. 187 state) added a double for the Senators, and G. Negron pushed the cushion to 3-1 in the fourth with a sacrifice bunt RBI. For Titans Scout Team 17U, 2B Jackson Stinson (TN) showed feel for pitching, sitting 75-78 (T82) with nine whiffs and four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

NE Runbirds 9, Team Elite Prime Black 5 NE Runbirds built a 7-1 cushion through five innings before Team Elite Prime Black erupted for four runs in the top of the sixth to make things interesting, but the deficit proved too steep to fully close. For the Runbirds, RHP Evan Wilson (MA) was sharp over 5.2 innings, sitting 77-80 (T82) while generating seven whiffs and striking out five; SS Cayden Chow (MA) added a double, and Evan Waden went 2-for-the-day to provide offensive support. For Elite Prime Black, CJ Conway delivered the highlight of the rally with a solo home run to ignite the sixth, Geoffrey Heinz followed with an RBI single, and 1B Gavin Sepe (IL) capped the frame with an RBI double, though the club couldn't complete the comeback.

**East Coast Grays National 1, Ostingers Baseball 2027 Osting 3** Trailing 1-0 heading to the bottom of the third, Ostingers Baseball 2027 Osting erupted for all three of its runs to seize control for good. E. Plusquellic's RBI fielder's choice got things started, OF Connor Gavigan (FL; No. 78 state) followed with an RBI triple, and S. Aponte singled home the third to push the lead to 3-1 — a margin that held the rest of the way. C Matthew Rangel (FL) worked five innings (88-90, T91), scattering three hits with four strikeouts and eight whiffs, while 3B Keegan Wilkerson (FL) slammed the door with two scoreless frames (86-88, T89), punching out three on three whiffs without issuing a walk. For East Coast Grays National, RHP Randon Gay (GA) was sharp enough to miss 11 bats and post eight strikeouts across five innings (83-86, T87), but the third-inning three-spot proved too much to overcome. Gavigan finished 2-for-3 with his triple as the offensive catalyst.

**East Coast Marucci 2027 15, Top Tier Central Americans 5** East Coast Marucci 2027 turned a 4-3 game into a rout by erupting for 11 runs in the top of the fifth, blowing the contest open behind a monster inning that featured a grand slam from 2B Andrew Walker (AL; No. 106 state) — his fourth RBI of the frame — along with two-RBI singles from OF Parks Woodruff (AL; No. 34 state) and J. Dugan. Walker finished 3-for-3 with a triple to go with the homer; C Drew Danner (AL; No. 61 state) and Woodruff each went 3-for-3 as well, and SS Jackson Canady (AR) added a 2-hit day. On the mound, C Luke Weatherley (AR; No. 3 state) delivered two sharp innings, sitting 89-90 (T91) with three strikeouts, four whiffs, and no walks. For Top Tier Central Americans, RHP Traxton Roberts (IL; No. 88 national) was genuinely impressive over four innings — sitting 88-91 (T92), generating 12 whiffs and six strikeouts against just one walk — while SS Jackson Vanderheydt contributed a double in the loss.

RHP JJ Sims (GA; No. 109 state) was the story on the mound, spinning four shutout innings with four strikeouts, zero walks, and seven whiffs while sitting 84-85 (T86). At the plate, OF Brody Hurd (GA; No. 123 state) went deep in the second for an early run, OF Jake Adamson (GA; No. 103 state) added a double, and 2B Kyler Worsham (TN; No. 45 state) went 2-for-the-day. In the decisive fourth, T. Giro and L. McCook each drew run-scoring walks to cap the burst. For Houston, RHP Kaleb Biddy (TX) flashed some arm — sitting 84-86 (T87) with six whiffs and three strikeouts in 1.1 innings.

SS Jimmey Sequin III (MI; No. 203 national) was the engine throughout, working 6.1 innings and generating 10 whiffs while sitting 83-87 (T89) with six strikeouts. On the offensive side, LHP Gabe Wegener (No. 71 state) went deep in the fourth for the game's first lead change, and in the decisive sixth, 1B Michael Stanton (MI; No. 25 state) doubled home a run before OF Owen Dominowski (MI; No. 18 state) followed with an RBI double to supply the winning margin. For the Jaguars, Ethan Wade matched Sequin's 10 whiffs across five innings, sitting 83-86 (T88) with seven strikeouts, while SS Ethan King (GA; No. 119 state) and OF Hudson Will (GA; No. 42 state) each went 2-for-the-day and LHP Spencer Leftoff (GA; No. 151 state) added a triple.

RHP Brodi Cook sat 82-84 (T85) over four innings, striking out three and generating five whiffs while allowing just three hits. The offense did the rest: 2B Skyler Bernbeck (KS; No. 25 state) went 3-for-3 with a triple and a double, C Ben McDermott (KS; No. 95 state) added a double among his two hits, and OF Cade Wilson (KS) chipped in two hits. SS Grayson McFall (KS; No. 68 state) and 1B Easton Engelhart (KS; No. 33 state) each went deep — Engelhart's fifth-inning shot a two-run blast, McFall's a solo shot in the fourth. For Bucks County, 1B Giulio Carbo provided the lone highlight with a first-inning solo home run.

For Team KC, **SS Ty Lange (MO; No. 146 state)** went 2-for-4, and **OF Taylan Ray (KS; No. 43 state)** added a double, with the pair anchoring a three-run sixth that made it a final.

The decisive blow came when C Thomas Lawler (No. 25 state) ripped a three-RBI triple, and P. Barnett added a run via groundout to complete the frame's damage. On the mound for Ascent, RHP Luke Hunter (PA; No. 180 state) dealt 2.1 innings with 3 strikeouts and 4 whiffs, sitting 85-86 (T87). For Stacked, Bryland Canode was lively over 3.2 frames — 5 punchouts, 11 whiffs, sitting 84-85 (T87) — while 1B Joshua Duggin (TN; No. 89 state) doubled, and SS John Beard (TN), Tommy McMillan, and 1B Tucker Hunnicutt (CA) each went 2-for-the-day; A. Aquino's two-run sixth-inning error kept Stacked's comeback alive.

**NJ Pride 17u 4, MASH 17u Black 4** Trailing 3-1 entering the fourth, NJ Pride 17u erupted for three runs in the top half to grab a 4-3 lead that MASH 17u Black would eventually erase in a game that finished knotted at four. The decisive blow came from OF Steven Vanore, whose two-RBI single highlighted the Pride's rally, with C. Shannon adding a walk to keep the frame alive. Vanore finished 2-for-the-day for NJ Pride. For MASH 17u Black, C Charlie Wielinski (No. 117 state) paced the offense with a 3-for-the-day effort, while SS Nolan Rolloff (No. 33 state) added a 2-for-the-day performance; J. Michel's RBI fielder's choice in the first inning gave MASH an early 1-0 edge.

C Kevin Comblo (NY; No. 65 state) ignited the decisive frame with an RBI double, and T. Ostrowski followed with an RBI single to stake Fusion to a cushion they'd protect through seven innings. RHP Brock Bateman (FL) backed the cause offensively with a 2-for-2 day featuring two doubles, while Aaron Wu went 2-for-2 as well. For Dulins, SS Koen Isaacson (OK; No. 446 national) provided the offensive highlight with a 2-for-2 performance, and M. Ramos drew a bases-loaded walk to account for one of the Dodgers' two runs.

**Orioles Scout Team 2027 7, Michigan Elite Selects 17U 0** Holding a slim 2-0 edge through three, Orioles Scout Team 2027 blew the game open with four runs in the top of the fourth and cruised to a shutout. OF Leyton Guhl (NC; No. 52 state) delivered the decisive blow, a two-run double, and OF John Hucko (NC; No. 36 national) followed with an RBI double to stretch the lead; a run scored on an error capped the frame. The pitching staff was equally dominant: RHP Will Parrish (NC; No. 120 national) worked four innings (sat 88-89 (T90)), striking out six on nine whiffs while allowing just one hit, and LHP Konnor Briggs (FL; No. 405 national) finished off a combined shutout with six strikeouts and 10 whiffs over three hitless innings (sat 85-87 (T89)). OF Jake Sedmack (FL; No. 153 state) and C Miguel A Delgado (NC; No. 43 state) each went multi-hit. For Michigan Elite, RHP Drew Brown sat 84-86 (T87) and punched out five in 2.2 innings.

Patterson's run-scoring single serving as the decisive blow — and never relinquished the lead. LHP Ridge Brown (AL) earned the bulk of the work, going 6.2 innings and generating 14 whiffs while sitting 79-81 (T82) against a competitive Ohio lineup.
