EMERSON, GA – 14 of Arizona’s top 2030/2031 prospects made the trip to LakePoint Sports on July 23–26 to represent Team Arizona at the 2026 Prep Baseball Junior Future Games. Competing in front of more than 495 college coaches and scouts, Arizona’s representatives showcased their abilities during the pro-style workout and game action at one of the country’s premier recruiting events. Below, we take a deeper look at each player’s performance, the tools that stood out and the areas they can continue to develop.

Hunter Babe C / RHP / Perry, AZ / 2030 The 5'9, 179-pound catcher showed his versatility and leadership throughout the week, providing value behind the plate and on the mound. Hunter worked well with his pitchers, controlled the running game with a strong arm for his age and served as a steady presence behind the dish. He also threw two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks while trusting his defense and consistently generating weak contact. Offensively, he finished hitless after struggling to find his timing during game action. The tools are present, but trusting his ability and developing more consistency in meaningful at-bats will be important as he continues to mature. Despite an off week at the plate, Hunter remains a promising young prospect and proving he is capable of impacting the game in multiple ways.

Colton Braun OF / LHP / Brophy Prep, AZ / 2030 The lean 5'10, 136-pound left-hander delivered one of Team Arizona’s top performances, throwing four no-hit innings against Illinois with two walks and two strikeouts. Colton worked ahead, moved efficiently through the lineup and consistently generated weak contact, looking capable of pitching deeper into the game. Although he finished hitless, he reached base three times through walks and produced hard contact throughout the week. At the plate, he keeps his hands back and works with a flat, line-drive path that already shows sneaky pop. His left-handed two-way profile should draw increasing attention as he adds strength and continues developing within Brophy’s High School program. Colton is a name to remember in Arizona’s 2030 class.

Gunnar Gehrts OF / RHP / Sandra Day O'Connor, AZ / 2030 The athletic 5'11, 147-pound prospect finished 2-for-4 with an 85 mph double and two walks, consistently applying pressure to the defense. Gunnar brings a mature approach, sub-7.00 speed and growing offensive upside, giving him the tools to help his team in different ways. In the outfield, he takes charge, communicates well and moves with confidence, showing the poise expected from a leader. He also threw two scoreless innings, displaying fluid movements and composure on the mound. Gunnar remains a bat-first prospect, but added strength should elevate his offensive impact and further round out a promising overall profile.

Hudson Gibbons RHP / 2B / Desert Mountain, AZ / 2030 The 5'8, 147-pound right-hander competed through an outing and made enough pitches to keep Team Arizona in front. Hudson worked two innings, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks while recording one strikeout. Although he went hitless, he reached base through a walk and continued to compete on both sides of the ball. As a pitcher-first prospect, his development remains on track, but becoming more athletic and explosive will help his stuff take another step forward. Improving his offensive consistency and infield footwork will also give him more ways to contribute as he matures.

Jonah Gonzales SS / 2B / Desert Ridge, AZ / 2031 The 5'2, 111-pound middle infielder stood out with advanced glove work, smooth actions and impressive poise on the dirt. Jonah is a sure-handed defender who plays under control and carries himself with a humble, hardworking approach. Although he went hitless during game action, his bat-to-ball skills remain evident and he continued to compete through every at-bat. Improving his quickness will be important as he physically matures and faces a faster level of play. With added speed and arm strength, Jonah has the foundation to continue trending upward as one of the youngest players in attendance.

Jack Haines OF / RHP / Pinnacle, AZ / 2030 The 5'9, 158-pound two-way prospect owns one of the louder tool sets in Arizona’s 2030 class and carries himself with maturity regardless of the result. Jack reached base three times, finishing 1-for-4 with an 88 mph single and two walks. While the overall week did not meet his usual standard, he continued to compete and move on quickly from difficult moments. His ability to turn the page separates him from many players his age and reflects the work ethic behind his steady development. With his athleticism, offensive upside and arm strength, Jack has the tools to play at a high level as he enters high school.

Cole Manley SS / RHP / Estrella Foothills, AZ / 2031 The physical 5'10, 163-pound two-way prospect showed well as one of the youngest players in attendance. Cole finished 1-for-3 and added a perfect 1-2-3 inning on the mound, retiring all three hitters without allowing a baserunner. He did it while pitching through a bloody hand, creating his own Junior Future Games version of Curt Schilling’s famous moment. His fastball reached 80 mph, giving him a strong foundation on the mound for his age. As Cole continues to mature mentally and physically, his overall game should continue trending upward.

Elijah McGibiany 3B / OF / Basha, AZ / 2030 The projectable 6'1, 160-pound two-way prospect dominated his inning on the mound, striking out two while retiring the side without allowing a baserunner. Elijah showed the size, arm strength and overall tools to make an impact in multiple areas as he continues to develop. The week did not go as planned offensively, as he finished hitless, but he still reached base twice through walks. Learning to move past difficult results and stay present in the next opportunity will be an important step in his development. With his physical upside and ability on both sides of the ball, Elijah has the foundation to continue trending in the right direction.

Broxton Podolsky OF / SS / Williams Field, AZ / 2030 The athletic 5'9, 143-pound defender showed his feel for the game and ability to handle multiple positions throughout the week. Broxton finished 1-for-5 with multiple barrels throughout, highlighting his performance with an 86 mph line-drive single back through the middle. He understands how to play the game, consistently looking for ways to pressure the defense and contribute beyond the box score. Improving his speed and arm strength will be important as the game continues to get faster around him. The foundation and instincts are present, giving Broxton a chance to take meaningful steps forward as his physical tools develop.

Charlie Reanier 3B / RHP / Chaparral, AZ / 2030 The physical 5'8, 170-pound two-way prospect showed solid bat-to-ball skills, putting the ball in play during all five of his at-bats without striking out. Although Charlie went hitless, his ability to make consistent contact gave him opportunities to pressure the defense. On the mound, he worked efficiently through one inning, allowing one run on one hit and one walk. His left-handed bat, feel for the game and ability to contribute on the mound provide a solid foundation. Improving his foot speed and overall mobility will be important as he works toward the next stage of his development.

Jesus Sanchez 1B / OF / Canyon Del Oro, AZ / 2030 The 5'10, 176-pound right-handed hitter finished 2-for-4 with a double and delivered a game-tying RBI against South Carolina. Jesus showed advanced poise, a team-first mentality and the ability to produce when the moment called for it. His feel for the barrel and developing physicality point to future power, while his glove gives him a strong chance to remain at first base long term. He leads through his actions and brings a gamer’s approach every time he takes the field. Improved foot speed would expand his outfield potential and make his well-rounded profile even more versatile.

Angel Sanchez Jr SS / OF / Homeschool (AZ), AZ / 2030 The athletic 5'10, 150-pound left-handed hitter reached base four times, finishing 2-for-4 with two walks. Angel showed real bat-to-ball ability and consistently applied pressure to the defense with his athleticism and instincts. He is a sure-handed defender with smooth actions on the dirt, along with the quickness and developing speed to handle the outfield. Angel also contributed a scoreless, hitless inning on the mound, adding another tool to his profile. His versatility and overall feel for the game make him a player to follow closely as he enters high school.

Justus Sipe OF / 2B / Legendary Prep Academy, AZ / 2030 The 5'6, 127-pound outfielder showed maturity and strong character throughout the week, never allowing his offensive results to affect his effort or attitude. Justus remained a supportive teammate and continued to play steady defense, showing sure hands and an 84 mph arm from the outfield. He finished hitless, but the swing has a solid foundation and produces quality contact when his timing and decisions are right. Improving his swing decisions and adding facing higher level arms will help his hitting become more consistent. Continued speed development will also be important as his overall tools progress.

Adam Villa C / RHP / Hamilton, AZ / 2030 The physical 5'6, 187-pound catcher brought energy, toughness and a vocal presence behind the plate throughout the week. Adam took control of the game, worked hard to keep pitches in front and showed the awareness and confidence to back-pick runners. He also flashed thump in the bat, finishing 1-for-5 with an 85 mph single and multiple barrels. His passion and understanding of the game stand out, giving him the foundation to become a leader at the next level. As he enters high school, channeling that intensity into consistent team-first leadership will help him become a valuable part of Hamilton’s lineup.
