2026 Prep Baseball Minnesota Pitcher of the Week: Week 9

Starting on Opening Day, our scouts will be out covering the 2026 season, publishing scout notes and additional in-season content along the way, like Power Rankings updates, Player of the Week awards, and weekly top performers included inside Diamond Notes.
Each week during the high school season, we will provide a Hitter and Pitcher of the Week. All nominations are submitted by their high school coaches.
WEEK 9 | Ethyn Cantin, RHP, Becker
Ethyn Cantin took the mound and was virtually unhittable, retiring every batter faced through 5.2 innings before finishing with a complete game shutout victory over Big Lake in the section semifinals. Cantin struck out 11, issued zero walks, and surrendered just two hits.
