In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

Blue Valley secured a 9-5 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday, powered by a four-run explosion in the top of the ninth inning. Grant Westphal led the offensive charge for Blue Valley, slugging two home runs and driving in three runs, including a go-ahead solo shot in the final frame. Despite the loss, Saint Thomas Aquinas stayed competitive early thanks to a multi-hit, two-RBI performance from Will Ray and a solo home run by Henry Goodwin.

Maize built an early four-run lead and held off a late rally from Bishop Carroll to secure a 7-6 victory on Thursday. Ryder Zimmerman delivered the game-winning RBI double in the top of the seventh inning to break a 6-6 tie, while Scotty Hadley, Gavin Short, and Drake Blasi each homered for Maize. Bishop Carroll's resilient comeback effort was led by Judd Blasi, who drove in three runs, and Harrison King, who collected three hits out of the leadoff spot.

Lawrence Free State defeated Park Hill South 7-2 on Thursday, executing a dramatic six-run explosion in the bottom of the sixth inning to flip the game. Donnie Krehbiel provided the decisive blow with a clutch two-RBI double during the late-inning surge, while Ben Graves earned the win with three scoreless frames in relief. Park Hill South's offense was paced by Graebener and Soule, who each collected a hit and drove in a run.

The decisive moment came during a six-run explosion in the bottom of the fifth inning, highlighted by Jaxon Purkey's clutch three-run home run to left field. Shawnee Mission Northwest kept the game tight with an early solo home run from Kanoa Cobb and a two-hit, two-RBI performance from Brody Hollingsworth.

Carter Laird earned the win on the mound by tossing four hitless, scoreless innings with eight strikeouts, a performance that included an immaculate inning in the first frame. Connor Musil powered the late offensive surge with a three-run home run in the fourth, while Judah Monhollon matched him with three RBIs on the day.

Blue Valley West jumped out to an immediate advantage with a five-run first inning and never looked back, securing a 12-6 victory over Lee's Summit on Thursday. Zach Noonan paced the 12-hit offensive attack with three hits, while Merrick Ginden, Nash Kindler, Brandon Parks, and Colton Weisguth each drove in two runs for the victors. Lee's Summit fought back behind a strong performance from Dayton Masters, who collected two hits and drove in three runs.

Shawnee Heights rolled past Seaman for an 8-1 victory on Thursday, powered by a dominant performance on the mound and a balanced offensive attack. Brody Cooper earned the win by striking out six and allowing just one run over five innings, while Trone Purvis, Camden Olson, and Nowlan Hurla each drove in two runs for the victors. Seaman got on the board early in the first inning thanks to an RBI double from Cale Rosenberger.

Washburn Rural built an early four-run lead and successfully staved off a late rally by Chesty Lions to secure a 7-6 victory on Thursday. Aidan Newbery spearheaded the offense for Washburn Rural, blasting a game-tying solo home run in the second inning and finishing with three RBIs, while AJ Payne added a solo shot of his own. The Chesty Lions nearly pulled off the comeback behind a two-hit, two-RBI performance from Jaxon Becker, along with two hits apiece from Saylor Jackson and Brandt Edmonds.
