Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

Malakai Chandler LHP / 1B / Ashland, OR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 128 / POS: 10 The senior from Ashland High School had a massive offensive week, going 9-10 overall. The Chemeketa commit slugged 2 home runs, 3 doubles and a triple. He also tallied 7 runs scored and 16 RBI's in his massive set of games.
