Prep Baseball Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week: Ethan Jeffers
May 20, 2026
Senior RHP Ethan Jeffers (Gustavus Adolphus commit) was dominant in River Falls 2-0 victory over #2 Hudson this past Tuesday. The righty led the way, providing a 2-hit shutout on the mound while also providing some insurance at the plate. Jeffers would reach base safely twice, with a stolen base and scoring a pivotal run to get the Wildcats on the board. For this reason, the right-hander has been named this week’s pitcher of the week.
Jeffers tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk, while striking out eight. The righty gave a star-filled Hudson lineup fits all night long en route to a dominate performace on the mound. On the season, Jeffers has posted a 1.40 ERA, with a 4-2 record, four complete games, .857 WHIP, and .190 BAA.
Currently ranked 195th in the Wisconsin 26’ class, the 5-foot-9, 169-pound frame has been dominant on the mound all year long. Coming in with a mid-80s fastball and a pair of secondaries to match. The righty will be looking to ride this momentum into the coming weeks as the Wildcats gear up for a playoff push.
We're thankful for the POTW submissions we received from the coaches across the state. The players who garnered POTW consideration will earn a place within tomorrow's Diamond Notes story, so be on the lookout for that.
