2026 Iowa High School Team Preview: Nevada

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement is building throughout Iowa. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Iowa.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Carroll or Cedar Rapids at the IHSAA 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A State Tournaments, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Iowa.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state.

TEAM OUTLOOK

“We lost some key players who had some outstanding careers and put up some record breaking numbers. However, I feel the group of guys we are returning bring us a very strong nucleus of leadership and ability. The mix in of a few younger guys could make us very competitive in our league. These athletes are coming off a state football championship and a conference basketball championship this school year. They are used to having successful seasons, and I feel a majority of these guys would list baseball as their top sport. This is year five of a pretty big rebuild. The team won 3 games in 2021 and we have grown a lot as a program, I feel this is our best all around baseball team we have had in that span. ” – Stephen Glenn, head coach
