The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement is building throughout Iowa. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Iowa.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Carroll or Cedar Rapids at the IHSAA 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A State Tournaments, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Iowa.

“We return 8 of our 9 starters from last season with most of those guys going on their 3rd/4th season of starting varsity so experience will not be a problem. If we can improve our hitting at the bottom of the lineup while getting more consistency out of our top 4-5 pitchers I think we can have some success this season. It is going to be showing up night in and night out with the mentality that we can compete with anyone we are playing. ” – Nathan Weig, head coach
