East Florida Top Prospect Games: Quick Hits

The East Florida Top Prospect Games took place on Tuesday, June 2, at Cacti Park in West Palm Beach, FL. The event featured players from the 2027-2029 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by gameplay in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.
Today, we will share quick notes on the standouts from Tuesday's event.

POWER BATS
Offense was plentiful at Cacti Park on Tuesday, as 10 different hiters recorded exit velocities of 100 mph or higher. 2027 Caden Coleman led the group with a 107.8 mph exit velocity and a max distance of 408 ft. Next were 2027 Mateo Cardenas (104.5) and 2028 AJ Ford (104.1). Behind them were 2027 Clay Eichlin (103.4), 2028 Weston Barrett (103.1), and 2028 Jonathan Marzullo (101.7). Marzullo added a double to center field in the game.

CATCHING STANDOUTS
The catcher group at the East Florida Top Prospect Games was full of talent. Four catchers had velocities over 80 mph, with five catchers having pop times of 1.85 or less. 2028 Jonathan Marzullo led the event with a 1.79 pop time, adding a max velocity of 82 mph as well. 2028 Jacob Collins showed off his strong arm with an event-leading 83 mph velocity from behind the plate.

PITCHERS
2028 Kline Cummings excelled during the gameplay, recording six strikeouts in his two innings of work. He features a three-pitch mix, which includes a fastball, slider, and changeup. Cummings had a max fastball velocity of 87 mph. 2029 William Miller had the best fastball velocity at the event, running it up to 91.8 mph.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS
2027 Caden Coleman was the biggest defensive standout of the day, showcasing a strong arm from the outfield (89 mph) and infield (90 mph), both top-three velocities in the event. 2028 Owen Lenzen led the infielders with a velocity of 90 mph. 2028 Ander Elorriaga showed off his big arm as well with the event-leading 93 mph from the outfield while also recording a 1.85 pop time.

ATHLETES
Five players had 60-yard dash times under 6.90 seconds, led by 2028 Gabriel Coupet (6.66). He was followed by 2027 Josiah Guevara (6.76) and 2027 Caden Coleman (6.80). Next were 2028 Braylen Taylor (6.81) and 2027 Anthony Diaz (6.89). 2028 Brandon Gordley had the highest vertical jump at 28.2 inches, followed by 2029 Chace Garye (26.3) and 2027 Heath Ribera (26.3).
