MAY 28: DELANO AT BENILDE-ST. MARGARET'S >> Full Box Score
Delano:
+ Iowa Central commit Brody Geislinger needed an inning or two to settle in, battling some early inconsistency that allowed BSM to scratch across what would ultimately be its only run of the game in the second. From there, the right-hander flipped the switch. Geislinger controlled the tempo the rest of the way, attacking hitters with confidence while making Red Knight bats look increasingly uncomfortable as the game progressed. The fastball played with life, he landed enough secondary stuff for strikes, and once he found rhythm there were very few stressful moments. The senior went the distance, tossing a complete game while allowing one run on two hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. He also contributed offensively, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate while scoring one of Delano’s six runs.
Brody Geislinger👇
Benilde-St. Margaret's:
+ Oscar Waisanen came out throwing with intent. The fastball showed quality life while operating in the upper-80s and the slider consistently flashed hard, sharp action that generated uncomfortable swings early. The right-hander largely kept Delano in check through his outing before an unfortunate delay cut things short and forced BSM into the bullpen earlier than planned. He finished with 3.1 innings pitched, allowing three earned runs on six hits while striking out six.
Oscar Waisanen👇
+ Indians Hills commit Samuel Kramer entered looking every bit like a weapon out of the bullpen. The fastball came out clean and easy with noticeable life, and even when he appeared to take something off, he was still operating in the upper-80s. Delano hitters rarely looked comfortable in their at-bats, but the Tigers continued to apply pressure through execution, manufacturing offense and forcing action throughout the game. Kramer struck out seven across three innings, but Delano’s ability to play clean, pressure-filled baseball ultimately proved to be the difference as the Tigers moved on in section play.
MAY 23: ST. PAUL CENTRAL AT STILLWATER >> Full Box Score
Stillwater:
+ Ryan VanGunst wasted no time taking control for Stillwater. The Anoka-Ramsey commit attacked with a low-80s fastball that peaked at 83 mph and paired it with a slider that kept St. Paul Central off balance early. He impacted the game just as much in the batter’s box, too. VanGunst punched a single through the infield to get the scoring started, then later stayed back on a slider and drove it into the opposite-field gap for a double as part of a three-RBI day.
St. Paul Central:
+ Emmett Jones (2026, SS, UW-Eau Claire) collected one of three hits for the Minutemen, driving a sharp double into the gap.
MAY 23: WHITE BEAR LAKE AT EAST RIDGE >> Full Box Score
East Ridge:
+ Sam Biegert (2026, Uncommitted) got the ball for East Ridge and showed solid command of an 82-83 mph fastball throughout his outing. Brayden Baldock (2028, RHP, Uncommitted) entered in relief and flashed an upper-80s fastball that reached 87 mph.
+ Bennett Skinner (2026, SS, Minnesota) provided the biggest swing offensively with a two-RBI triple, while Cade Hamilton (2027, 1B, Uncommitted) added a pair of hits, including a double.
White Bear Lake:
+ University of St. Thomas commit Jackson Kolb delivered a complete-game effort for White Bear Lake. His fastball had life early before settling into the mid-80s for most of the outing, then jumped back to 89 mph in the seventh inning when the pressure rose. The slider didn’t consistently generate chase, but the fastball became the separator late. With the tying run in scoring position, Kolb reached back and struck out the final three hitters of the game to seal it.
+ Riley Helmberger (2026, St. Mary's) led the White Bear Lake offense with five total bases, including a double and triple, and was one of three Bears to record multiple hits.
MAY 23: TARTAN AT CRETIN-DERHAM HALL >> Full Box Score
Cretin-Derham Hall:
+ Efficient is the word that best described Griffin Peterson’s outing against Tartan. The uncommitted junior needed just 50 pitches to complete a five-inning mercy-rule win, attacking with a 79-81 mph fastball and a curveball that Tartan hitters struggled to track all game.
+ Early on, CDH’s lefty-heavy lineup had some awkward at-bats against Tartan's southpaw starter. The Raiders squared up more balls than the box score might suggest, but several loud outs kept things quiet initially. Isaac Feller (2027, OF, Uncommitted) eventually broke through in a major way, finishing 4-for-4 and ending the game with a walk-off double.
Tartan:
+ For Tartan, Allan Foster mixed a 70-73 mph fastball and competed well early by forcing weak contact, especially against the left-handed bats. But without much swing-and-miss ability, navigating the CDH lineup multiple times became a difficult task.
MAY 23: ROSEVILLE AT WOODBURY >> Full Box Score
Woodbury:
+ The final game of the day turned into the most entertaining comeback of the bunch. Luke Burton started for Woodbury and worked mostly around an 81 mph fastball, but Roseville consistently found barrels and pushed across five runs in just 3.1 innings. Once Stephen Loshek (2026, RHP, Southeastern) entered, the game shifted. The right-hander pounded the zone with an 83 mph fastball and a swing-and-miss slider, allowing just one run across 3.2 innings to keep Woodbury within striking distance.
+ At the plate, Kai Larsen (2026, SS, UW-LaCrosse) was the sparkplug, finishing a perfect 4-for-4 with seven total bases. Eli Larsen (2028, IF, Uncommitted) delivered the biggest hit of the game, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs, including the go-ahead double late that completed the comeback.
Roseville:
+ Roseville looked firmly in control early behind Jonas Harper. The right-hander came out firing, touching 88 mph in the opening innings while pairing it with a sharp slider that Woodbury hitters had no answer for. As the outing wore on, though, Woodbury began timing the fastball with much more consistency. Silas Nelson (2027, Uncommitted) entered in relief but couldn’t stop the momentum swing, surrendering four runs in two-thirds of an inning.
+ Offensively, Spencer Barta (2026, C, Georgia State) wasted no time igniting Roseville with a home run in the second at-bat of the game, while Max Amundson (2026, OF/RHP, Marshalltown) drove in three runs. All but one Raider starter recorded a hit.
MAY 19: ANDOVER AT OSSEO >> Full Box Score
Andover:
+ Garrett Hostetler (2026, Erskine College commit) turned in four shutout innings for Andover. The right-hander worked mostly 80-82 mph with the fastball and held his velocity throughout the outing. He battled some inefficiency early but settled in as the game progressed, showing feel for all of his pitches and consistently landing a front-door slider for strikes. Of the three hits he allowed, two came on elevated changeups that were left in the zone, accounting for his few mistakes on the night.
+ HIts came at a premium in the cold conditions, but Price Caron (2026, UW-Whitewater commit) helped create separation during a two-out rally in the fourth when he ripped a two-run double over the left fielder’s head.
Osseo:
+ For Osseo, left-hander Stephon Barcenas worked four innings while mixing his fastball and curveball evenly throughout the outing. Defensive miscues behind him in the first inning contributed to two early runs, but he responded well and settled in over the next two frames.
MAY 14: BLOOMINGTON JEFFERSON AT BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY >> Full Box Score
Jefferson:
+ Left-hander Max Kocur took the mound for Jefferson and delivered a big performance on both sides of the ball. Kocur tossed five innings of three-hit baseball, allowing just two runs while striking out seven without issuing a walk. He was equally productive at the plate, collecting three hits, including an RBI double over the center fielder’s head.
Max Kocur👇
+ Hunter Gess also turned in a strong offensive showing, driving in three runs on two hits, highlighted by a double.
Kennedy:
+ For Kennedy, Jonah Kaluza (Century commit) battled through four innings on the mound. The lefty showed flashes with his stuff, striking out hitters at times, but worked around some command inconsistencies that led to three walks. When behind in counts, he was forced to challenge hitters in the zone, and Jefferson capitalized with seven hits.
+ Kennedy’s offense was limited to three hits on the day, with Tate Reardon accounting for two of them. The Eagles were able to manufacture a pair of runs on wild pitches as they looked to keep pressure on throughout the game.
MAY 13: CHASKA AT ST. LOUIS PARK >> Full Box Score
Chaska:
+ 2028 RHP Thomas Leeper turned in an impressive six-inning outing, allowing eight hits and just one earned run while striking out five, walking one, and throwing strikes at a 72% clip. The young right-hander showed advanced feel for a three-pitch mix and maintained his stuff throughout the night. His fastball sat comfortably at 84-86 mph for the duration of the outing, touching 88 at times with heavy arm-side run that created uncomfortable at-bats. While St. Louis Park found a few hits against the heater, Leeper showed confidence attacking the zone and demonstrated feel for back-dooring the pitch to right-handed hitters. The slider emerged as his best secondary offering, generating swing-and-miss and weak contact consistently. It opened the game around 78 mph before settling into the 74 mph range later in the outing. He mixed in a changeup/splitter at 79-81 mph less frequently, and while the pitch was inconsistent at times and often finished in the dirt, it still flashed potential and produced one of his more notable strikeouts of the night.
Thomas Leeper👇
APRIL 29: EDINA AT EDEN PRAIRIE >> Full Box Score
Edina:
+ No. 17 Edina handled business behind a balanced, veteran-led effort, with the top and middle of the order setting the tone throughout. Junior leadoff man Bode McConnell (2027, IF, Uncommitted) reached base in all four trips, going 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, two runs, and a stolen base, showing a patient approach and feel for the barrel when he stayed through the baseball. Owen Meyer (2026, Uncommitted) was a consistent presence in the six-hole, finishing 3-for-3 with a double, walk, two RBI, and a stolen base, flashing gap-to-gap feel despite a smaller frame. Jackson McGrath (2026, 3B, Iowa Western CC) chipped in two RBI from the three-spot, while Lincoln Page (2028, OF/RHP, Uncommitted) impacted the game on both sides, collecting a hit, reaching via HBP, and closing things out on the mound with a clean inning, running his fastball up to 87-88 with a firm 11-5 breaking ball. The story, though, was freshman left-hander Ari Miller (2029, LHP, Uncommitted), who turned in six innings of two-run ball, allowing no earned runs with three strikeouts and one walk. Miller mixed three pitches effectively, commanded the zone, and consistently avoided barrels, showing advanced feel and poise for his age.

Eden Prairie:
+ Eden Prairie showed flashes early but couldn’t sustain momentum against a steady Edina club, despite a few bright spots offensively. Leadoff hitter Luca Cappelli (2027, IF/RHP, Uncommitted) set the tone out of the gate with a double to the right-center gap and finished 1-for-4, continuing to show a compact, barrel-driven stroke. Myken Anderson (2026, RHP/1B, Bethel) provided one of the more competitive at-bats of the day, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and handling left-on-left matchups with confidence, staying on pitches and finding holes. On the mound, Quinn Cloutier (2026, RHP, St. Scholastica) was sharp early, navigating the lineup efficiently the first time through while mixing a low-80s fastball with a breaking ball and changeup. He ran into trouble in the fourth as command wavered, issuing four walks on the day, but limited damage in that frame before Edina broke through in the fifth for two runs. Cloutier finished with five strikeouts over 4.1 innings, showing the ability to miss bats but struggling to maintain feel deep into the outing.
APRIL 24: LAKEVILLE NORTH AT SHAKOPEE >> Full Box Score
Lakeville North:
+ The Panthers handed the ball to Ethan Mrnak (Indiana State) in a rare midday South Suburban matchup. The right-hander came out sharp, punching out six the first time through the order. Mrnak sat 87–91 mph early, opening his outing with three straight 91s, and leaned on a late, hard breaking ball at 76–79 mph as his go-to putaway pitch. Mixed in a firm 79–80 mph changeup sparingly. As the pitch count climbed, command began to waver, and he was lifted after reaching his limit.
Shakopee:
+ The Sabers, now 8-1 and ranked 5th in the state, turned to Kaden Olson (Minnesota Duluth), who delivered on both sides. Olson worked 83–86 mph, touching 88 early, and paired it with a 68–71 mph curveball he landed consistently. Not overpowering, but around the zone (63.5% strikes) and executed in key spots. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 3 hits, 1 earned run, 2 walks, and striking out 6. He also drove the offense, finishing 2-for-3 with a walk-off, two-RBI single in the 7th.
📝: Andy Judkins
APRIL 22: WAYZATA AT MINNETONKA >> Full Box Score
Wayzata:
+ Creighton commit Alexander Kakach took the ball in a high-end Lake Conference matchup and looked the part early. The future Blue Jay worked 88–91 mph with the fastball, pairing it with a tight 78–81 mph slider that generated swing-and-miss. Kakach logged five innings, allowing four hits and two earned while striking out seven. Command wavered at times (four walks), but he still filled up enough of the zone, landing 52 of 85 pitches for strikes, to keep Wayzata in control.
+ Uncommitted 2027 RHP Nicholas Krautkremer handled the final inning and flashed a polished three-pitch mix. The fastball worked 86–87 mph, complemented by a 76–77 mph slider and a 72–73 mph curveball, giving a glimpse of a developing arsenal with feel for spin.
+ Offensively, 2027 OF Brayden Colvin provided a spark near the top of the order. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, showing a clean, contact-oriented stroke that fits well in a table-setting role. Colvin ran a 6.93 at the Blizzard Scout Day in October 2025.
Minnetonka:
+ Uncommitted 2026 RHP Daschle Duwe got the start for the Skippers, working three innings while allowing two hits and two earned runs. He struck out two and walked four, operating with an 85–87 mph fastball and mixing both a 74–75 mph slider and a 70–71 mph curveball to navigate the lineup.
+ Minnetonka pieced the rest together on the mound, turning to 2027 RHP Ricky Hillard (83–84 mph) for 2.2 innings before handing it off to Jacob Musgjerd (84–85 mph) to secure the win. Garrett Wheeler (83–85 mph) closed the door to earn the save, as the Skippers leaned on depth to finish it off.
+ At the plate, Cruz Winegarden was a steady presence in the middle of the order. The left-handed hitter accounted for two of the team’s five hits, driving in a run and continuing a strong start to the season. With a smooth swing and ability to use the middle of the field, Winegarden has pushed his average to .429 on the year.
