Prep Baseball Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week: Ashtyn Seifert
June 3, 2026
Uncommitted righty Ashtyn Seifert has been a top arm in the 2027 class that has been having a standout spring. Tossing one his top outings of the spring last Wednesday against a quality Jefferson team, working seven shutout innings allowing five hits, one walk while striking out 15 batters in a 4-0 win. For his efforts, Seifert has been named this week’s PItcher of the Week.
The right-hander has been filling up the zone at a high-rate so far through the spring season, with consistent quality outings while raking up strikeouts in bunches. Filling up the zone at over a 70% rate and the first pitch strike rate was nearly identical while racking up 19 whiffs on the outing.
An uncommitted right-hander with upside at 6-foot-2, 177-pounds. There’s feel to repeat an athletic delivery with direction down the mound, showing feel for four pitches with spin paired with upper-80s fastball velo. A high-follow uncommitted right-hander in the Badger State and a name to monitor throughout the summer circuit.

Scouting Report
RHP Ashtyn Seifert (Beaver Dam, 2027): Boasting a projectable 6-foot-2, 177-pound frame, the right-handed hitter showcased immense upside on the mound during his bullpen. Operating from a high leg lift, Seifert works with balance over the rubber before landing in a slightly closed direction to home creating some torque and cross-fire deception. He works with noticeable arm speed through release creating whip and finish through the baseball. His fastball sat 87-88 mph (2,239 rpm) and he showed impressive feel for the zone, while his curveball played at 75-77 mph (2,317 rpm) with two-plane characteristics and quality feel for the pitch. He rounded out a strong pitch mix with a sharp slider at 78-79 mph (2,482 rpm) and a fading changeup at 79-81 mph (1,714 rpm) that featured 14.4 inches of horizontal movement. Seifert is a player our staff is excited to view this spring.
