Georgia Rising Stars Games: Quick Hits, Infielders
Joeby Brumbelow, SS/RHP, 2030, South Paulding
Brumbelow has simply just hit in each setting that we have seen him across the '26 circuit so far. Athletic 5-foot-8, 149-pounds and feel to hit is present. Put together a strong round of batting practice as he produced all-fields barrels with great hands and whippy barrel in-zone. Feel to spray the ball line-to-line and bat-to-ball skills always stand out. Posted a max 89.0 exit velocity across the round. Looked the part during gameplay as he came through with a pull-side single. Shows an extremly direct stroke with ability to stay balanced through impact with excellent feel for the zone. Brumbelow has a real chance to make an impact as freshman for the Spartans in the spring and could take his game to the next level with added strength/size.

Chanse Hall, SS/RHP, 2030, Union Grove
The Union Grove rising freshman provided an impressive first look as he showed well in the box. Athletic 5-foot-7, 131-pounds and well-connected LH cut. Sprayed the ball to all parts of the field in a strong round of BP and finished with a max 83.9 exit velocity. Picked up a pair of pull-side singles in-game as well. On-time consistently with balance through the zone while utilizing multiple different loads. Works from a simple, compact path with some separation and stays level through the zone. Bat-to-ball skills stand out with some ability to adjust in-zone. The profile for Hall looks the part of making an impact early on in HS and will be a close follow throughout the summer circuit, and so forth.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-media-max-width="560"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">More knocks from 2030 SS Chanse Hall later in gameplay as well. <br><br>Quick toe-tap load & bat-to-ball skills present in a simple, compact cut. <br><br>Smokes this into RCF for the RBI 1B. <a href="https://x.com/ughs_b?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@ughs_b</a> || <a href="https://x.com/hashtag/GASG26?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#GASG26</a> <a href="https://t.co/rUcpw4ej76">https://t.co/rUcpw4ej76</a> <a href="https://t.co/SdaZDLOrZh">pic.twitter.com/SdaZDLOrZh</a></p>— Prep Baseball Georgia (@PrepBaseballGA) <a href="https://x.com/PrepBaseballGA/status/2064802761942712491?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 10, 2026</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.x.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Cale Crawford, SS, 2030, West Laurens
It was a strong showing throughout for Crawford in the box. Near mirror-image from both sides of the plate and consistently worked back up-the-middle of the field during BP where he posted a max 83.2 exit velocity. Athletic 5-foot-8, 139-pounds that will add strength in a hurry and budding feel to hit. Picked up a pair of base knocks to the pull-side from the left side. Maintains balance through a leg lift load and creates quality separation at the plate. Direct stroke and consistently keeps the barrel on-plane forever in-zone. Quiet head with controlled hands and looks to hunt early in the count. Crawford will join a stout West Laurens club in the Fall that made an elite eight run this spring as he looks to fit right into the mix.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-media-max-width="560"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Great swing here from 2030 SS Cale Crawford. <br><br>Creates good separation at the plate & keeps his hands back as he gets the barrel on-plane & ropes this into RF for a knock. <a href="https://x.com/WestBballraider?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@WestBballraider</a> || <a href="https://x.com/hashtag/GARSG26?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#GARSG26</a> <a href="https://t.co/e8Gzvwu5ty">pic.twitter.com/e8Gzvwu5ty</a></p>— Prep Baseball Georgia (@PrepBaseballGA) <a href="https://x.com/PrepBaseballGA/status/2064779221335949716?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 10, 2026</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.x.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Mark Sanders, MIF, 2030, Buford
At 6-foot-even and 178 pounds, Sanders already passes the eye test as he fills out the frame with natural muscle and is an athletic mover in the box and field. In his round of BP, he sported a great feel for the barrel as he had a rotational upper body. His cut was explosive and on a slight upward angle, but had the ability to stay on top of the ball and smoke LDs. The EV maxed out at 87.5. He also showed a good arm across the diamond with accuracy to go along with it. The clear ability to hit and comfort spraying the ball each way profiles Sanders’ game.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">2030 SS/2B Mark Sanders <a href="https://x.com/Bwolvesbaseball?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Bwolvesbaseball</a> <br><br>6-foot-0, 174 pounds.<br><br>Generates strength from the ground up with a heavy barrel throughout the zone. Ryan Johnson, SS/3B, 2030, Cambridge
The lanky athlete stood out from the get go with his 6-foot-2, and 157 pound body. The barrel was struck nearly every swing as he consistently peppered LDs and long, hard FBs into both gaps. His setup is extremely simple and starts in a comfortable, resting position before getting a nice cut through the zone with extension. His EVs tell the story of nice feel for the sweet spot as most lived mid to upper 80s and topped at 90-even. The arm strength is present and consistent in the upper 70s. With plenty of room left for physical maturity, Johnson looks to be a quality bat that man’s the left side of the IF.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">2030 SS/3B Ryan Johnson <a href="https://x.com/Bears_CHS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Bears_CHS</a> <br><br>6-foot-2, 157 pounds showing a simple setup and actions.<br><br>Lived all over the barrel in a loud round of BP. Bryson Sermons, 1B/RHP, 2031, Hahira
Sermons didn’t take long to impress this afternoon as he showed a good display of the hit tool with flashes of pop alongside. The strength is obvious from head to toe at 5-foot-11, and a lean 184 pounds. The swing is what stood out as he maintained a compact cut, consciously working on putting a good swing on pitches regardless of location. There were multiple balls rocketed at 95+ EV and a Max EV of 96.6. Sermons displays a workhorse like mentality with high effort in each setting.

Kerrington Taylor, 1B/OF, 2030, Cambridge
Taylor standing at 6-foot-2 and 228 pounds, is a strong player that generates easy power in the box. Taylor maintains good barrel control throughout the zone while also generating easy power through his swing. He has a really strong lower half that helps his hands fire through the zone to crush the ball to all parts of the field. In his BP round he got up to 97.7 MPH for his max EV, while averaging an EV of 89.9. He maintains balance through a leg lift load and creates good extension through the swing. He has a very consistent barrel with a direct barrel to ball swing. Taylor looks to continue to develop as he finishes up his spring/summer season and be ready to make a direct impact for Cambridge in the upcoming high school season.<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">2030 1B/OF Kerrington Taylor <a href="https://x.com/Bears_CHS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Bears_CHS</a> <br><br>Big-time strength litters the physical 6-foot-2, 222-pound frame. <br><br>Max EV: 97.7<br><br>Explosive hands & leverages the barrel well for effortless carry to the pull-side. <a href="https://x.com/hashtag/GARSG26?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#GARSG26</a> <a href="https://t.co/kSjcDORKjZ">pic.twitter.com/kSjcDORKjZ</a></p>— Prep Baseball Georgia (@PrepBaseballGA) <a href="https://x.com/PrepBaseballGA/status/2064855410297786498?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 10, 2026</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.x.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Xayvion Cheney, MIF/RHP, 2030, John Milledge
Cheney is a strong 2-way prospect showing all five tools in the box and the field, while being a flamethrowing righty on the bump. To start Cheney’s showcase he ran a 60-yard dash where he would run it in 6.71 seconds with a 10-yard split of 1.61 seconds. Cheney would then move on to his BP round where he would have a max EV of 89.9 MPH. Cheney makes simple cuts in the box and quiet movements that create a level swing throughout the zone. He creates easy pop in the box with a strong load and hip rotation through the swing. Defensively Cheney was very smooth at SS and constantly made accurate and strong throws across the diamond and while turning double plays. Finally, Cheney ended his day off on the bump where he had a nasty 2-pitch mix. Cheney threw a strong FB that averaged 83.4 MPH and worked all the way up to 86.4 MPH. He could control and locate the FB really well and would consistently paint the corners of the zone with it. To pair with his firm FB he threw a wipeout SL that generated tons of swing-and-misses and batters to freeze in the box. He tunneled this SL very well off the FB which caused hitters to be unbalanced in the box and almost just guessing which pitch was coming. Cheney is a prospect that will develop even further with time and look forward to him being a strong part of the John Milledge baseball team.

Silas Baker, 1B/LHP, 2030, Sonoraville
Baker is a 5-foot-9, 192-pound LHP who impressed with his strike-throwing and command of the zone. Baker generated multiple swings and misses on his fastball that had carry through the zone from an over-the-top delivery. A 12-6 CB tunnel well out of this slot, which Baker proved he could land for strikes consistently. Baker extended well down the mound, which helped his stuff play up, and competed hard in a clean inning of work.

Whitten Percy, 1B/,3B 2030, Walton
At 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, Percy has a projectable physical frame. He showed a repeatable swing with simple movements at the plate, a clean barrel path, and the ability to generate line-drive contact. Percy stayed on the plane through the zone while maintaining an aggressive approach, producing a max EV of 96.1 mph. Defensively, he showed strong throws, good body control on throws made on the run, soft hands, and clean fielding actions with smooth overall movements.

Reese Jackson SS/RHP, 2030, Augusta Christian
Jackson showed a simple, efficient approach at the plate with good bat-to-ball skills and the ability to use the whole field. He adjusted well to lower offerings and showed a smooth weight transfer into his front side. The swing worked with rhythm throughout, keeping him balanced through contact and allowing him to finish with a clean follow-through. He consistently stayed on time at the plate and showed the ability to square up pitches throughout the zone. Defensively, Jackson showed accurate throws and clean exchanges. He remained under control through his defensive actions and moved efficiently into position.

Tyler Collins, CIF/RHP, 2030, North Cobb Christian
Standing at 5-foot-11 196 pounds Collins showed a smooth and repeatable delivery with good balance throughout the motion on the mound. Presenting a 3 pitch mix the FB being the most dominant with ASR making it challenging for righty batters. Collins stays downwards on his pitches helping it stay in the strike zone making solid contact more difficult. Collins early showed ability to land sliders early for strikes.

Bentley Millis, SS/RHP, 2030, Etowah
Millis has a smooth swing from the left hand side that will serve him well as he advances in his baseball career. Comfortable load into the back leg and generates power from the ground up, keeps barrel in the zone for a long time which helped him produce a consistent round of BP and catch a couple barrels in the game. Bentley moves well in the infield and has a great arm that will allow him to play on the left side of the infield as he matures in his body and fills out.

Caleb Tuck, SS/RHP, 2030, Mount Pisgah Christian
Tuck had an excellent showing at the Georgia Rising Stars Games. During his BP round, he topped out at 84.6 EV with an average velo of 79.7. He has a simple toe-tap trigger and quiet hands throughout a balanced swing. Tuck had a great round of BP spraying the ball all over the diamond creating loft with a slight uppercut through the ball. He ran a 7.46 70 with a 10-yd split of 1.72 showing quickness. This quickness could be the difference in whether he beats out a groundball or not so it’s a major upside. Tuck also had an INF velo of 73 with room for more, quick feet, and clean exchanges which shows promise for him to be an elite infielder in the future. Mount Pisgah Christian has an exciting future in Caleb Tuck.<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-media-max-width="560"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">2030 SS/RHP Caleb Tuck (Mount Pigsah Christian)<br><br>Toe-tap load with good rhythm and balance in the lower half. Jace Atchley, SS/2B, 2030, Adairsville
Atchley had a good showing throughout the day at the showcase. He stays on a good plane through the zone with quality bat-to-ball skills and a feel for hitting. As he continues to add strength to the frame, expect all of his tools to take a step forward. The actions are smooth on both sides of the ball, and he shows a high baseball IQ with the ability to make plays in the infield. He strung together several competitive at-bats against quality arms and consistently stayed within his approach. With continued physical development and game experience, Atchley has the tools to grow as a reliable contributor on both sides of the ball.

Canon Mallette, 1B/LHP, 2030, West Laurens
Mallette put together an impressive day both with the bat and on the mound at the Rising Stars Games. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound lefty showcased a balanced, fluid swing in his round of BP. He showed a great feel for the barrel, as he consistently found loud contact to the pull-side, having a max EV of 90.7. On the mound, Mallette continued to impress, as he pitched a clean inning from the left side. His fastball sat mid-upper 70’s with ASR, resulting in plenty of empty swings from righties. As he develops, look for Canon to continue turning heads from the mound and at the plate.<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-media-max-width="560"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">2030 1B/LHP Canon Mallette (<a href="https://x.com/WestBballraider?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@WestBballraider</a>)<br><br>5-foot-11 165-pounds<br><br>Fluid, repeatable swing. Eugene Mckinlay Jr., 1B/LHP, 2030, Cherokee
Mckinlay Jr. impressed all around in the showcase. He had a great BP working UTM and a simple-striding, coiled lower half swing working line drives. While he only maxed out at 78.5 EV, he has a lot of time to grow into his 5-foot-10, 136-pound frame which could lead to the line drives getting over the wall. He is on a good path throwing 70 INF velo with more time to grow and considering he is a 1B. He had a great showing in the game on the mound pumping FB in the mid 70’s with the intent of K’ing batters. Mckinlay Jr. had great CMD of all his pitches ITZ. Mckinlay Jr. will look to carry this potency into a loaded Cherokee roster.

Ben Watson, 3B/RHP, 2030, Parkview
Watson had a good overall day at the showcase. At 6-foot, 247 pounds, he is a physical presence who impacts the game on both sides of the ball. On the mound, he attacked the zone with a quality three-pitch mix. His fastball sat 77-79 mph with good life through the zone, and he mixed in a slider that generated swings and misses. He also flashed a changeup that maintained the same arm action as his fastball and showed feel for the pitch. At the plate, Watson displayed power to the pull side with a heavy barrel throughout the zone and the ability to drive the baseball with authority. He recorded a max exit velocity of 90 mph and a max distance of 317 feet during a solid round of batting practice. Overall, he showed a solid combination of strength and feel for the game on both sides of the ball.

Joe Peyton Moses, SS/RHP, 2030, Union County
Good overall day from Moses. Starting on defense he showed sound fielding mechanics with a good arm at short topping out at 83. At the plate, he had a good round of BP showing he can hit to all parts of the field with authority. Moses displayed good timing and rhythm with a level barrel through the zone consistently hitting line drives. During the game, he was able to get the bat head out and lace a single down the left field line. Great showing from Moses.
