KIF CHAMPION: KAUAI

The Kauai Red Raiders are your 2026 KIF champions, defeating Waimea 8-4 at Vidinha Stadium on April 29th to claim the league crown. After Waimea punched its ticket to the title game with a 3-2 semifinal win over Kapaa at Hanapepe Stadium, Kauai answered in the championship with the kind of complete performance that defines a postseason — finishing the job at home and earning the KIF title.

Click to view Champions Spotlight Write UP Kauai is on top in the KIF, taking the 2026 league title with an 8-4 win over Waimea at Vidinha Stadium on April 29. The Red Raiders got the offense going when it mattered, with T. Oana leading the way as one of the key bats in the lineup. Oana led Kauai in hits, RBI and doubles, giving them steady production in the middle of the order. Kaden Paoa Itamura also played a big role, consistently scoring runs, creating pressure on the bases and adding value on the mound throughout the year. On the mound, M. Alonzo gave Kauai important innings throughout the season, while K. Nishi led the staff in wins and Kaden Paoa Itamura finished as the team leader in strikeouts. With a balanced group of arms and enough offensive production to separate late, Kauai now heads into the HHSAA State Tournament with some momentum.
