2026 Indiana Player of the Week: Week 3

Indiana's Player of the Week award will be handed out each Tuesday during the spring. We heavily rely upon coaches submissions for each week's award, so please submit candidates each week to [email protected] via email.

After a dominant performance on both sides of the ball by '27 Cole Cheatham earned him Week 2 honors, find our Week 3 winner, and several honorable mentions below..


Week #3 Player of the Week

Gannon Grant RHP / SS / Center Grove, IN / 2026

+ Grant picked back up after injury with a loud Week #3 to earn Player of the Week honors. In his first start back, he threw a complete game, 1-hit shutout, with 10 strikeouts and the lone hit being the only base runner he allowed of the night. The Tennessee recruit also added a 4-for-8 week at the dish, including three home runs and (9) RBI's as #1 Center Grove went 2-0 on the week. 


Honorable Mentions

+ Kaden Maxwell, 2026, LHP/1B, Andrean, Illinois recruit: Maxwell threw a 5-inning, complete game, no-hitter with (9) strikeouts in a win over Columbia City. At the dish, he went 6-for-9 on the week with (11) RBI, two doubles, and a homer. 

+ Sean Dunlap, 2026, C, Crown Point, Tennessee recruit: Dunlap lands on the list for the second time this spring, going 6-for-10 in Week #3 with a triple, (3) homers, and (9) RBI's. 

+ Hudson Devaughan, 2026, RHP, Mooresville, Alabama recruit: Hudson DeVaughan captured his second win in as many starts in the Pioneers 2-0 win over Decatur Central on Tuesday. DeVaughan faced 25 hitters and struck out 17, throwing a complete game shutout. In two starts DeVaughan has yet to allow a run and has struck out 28 (38 hitters faced) in 11 innings of work.

+ Bishop Moore, 2028, RHP/IF, Beech Grove: The highlight of Moore's week came in a game where he hit for the cycle & struck out (10) batters in (4) innings of scoreless work. In total, he hit .636 for the week and had (5) RBI. 

+ Gio Ardizzone, 2027, SS, Roncalli, Bellarmine recruit: Ardizzone went 11-for-13 for the week, adding (2) doubles, (1) triple, (2) homers, (7) RBI, (8) runs scored, and (8) stolen bases. 

+ Luke Arnett, 2026, 1B, Bloomington South, Taylor recruit: In three games during Week #3, Arnett went 7-for-10, scored (7) runs, drove in (8), and collected (3) doubles and a pair of homers. 

+ Boston Roberts, 2027, SS/RHP, Silver Creek: Roberts had a strong week for Silver Creek as they went 3-0 with wins over Salem, Jennings County, and Austin. Combined between the three games, Roberts went 7-for-11 with (2) doubles, a homer, (6) RBI, and (5) runs scored. He also threw five shutout innings on the mound. 

+ Sully Kress, 2026, RHP/OF, New Prairie, Saint Xavier recruit: Kress got the win in a complete game shutout performance vs. SB Adams where he allowed just (3) hits, (2) walks, and struck out (15). Kress also had (2) hits on the week including a triple, and reached base at a .600 clip.

+ Drake Goodpaster, 2026, 3B, Brownstown Central, Triton JC recruit: Brownstown is one of the hottest teams in 2A and Goodpaster paced the offense in Week #3. He went 6-for-8 on the week with (4) doubles, a homer, (6) runs scored, and (9) RBI's. 

+ Tracer LaMaster, 2026, RHP/SS, Austin: LaMaster was just a pair of walks from going perfect vs. Corydon, throwing (7) innings of no-hit ball as he struck out (18) batters. 

+ Cayden Keller, 2027, P/OF, Lafayette Central Catholic: Keller was excellent on both sides of the ball last week. He picked up the win in his start on the mound, going (4.1) IP with (9) strikeouts. On the offensive side, he clubbed (3) homers, (2) doubles, and drove in (8). 

+ Bryton Gregg, 2027, RHP/IF, Greencastle, Wright State recruit: #2 Greencastle is perfect to this point in the year and Gregg played a big role in Week #3. He went seven scoreless vs. Crawfordsville, striking out (15) while allowing just (3) hits and (0) walks. In the same game, he also added a 2-run homer, providing the lone RBI's for Greencastle as they won 2-0. 

+ Jaron Clutter, 2026, SS/P, Princeton, Olney Central JC recruit: Clutter went 7-for-11 on the week with (2) homers, (5) runs scored, (5) RBI, and (3) stolen bases. He also contributed (3) perfect innings on the mound, including (7) strikeouts, and went 1-0 on the mound for the week. 

+ Miles Brockhouse, 2027, LHP/1B, Dekalb: Brockhouse was dominant on both sides of the ball this week, going 4-for-6 (.667 AVG) at the plate, with a .714 OBP, recording (2) singles, (2) doubles, (2) RBIs, and (2) runs scored. On the mound, the junior delivered a statement performance against Fort Wayne Carroll, tossing a five-inning complete game shutout with (11) strikeouts, no walks, and just two hits allowed, leading DeKalb to a 10-0 victory.

+ Grayson Gobert, 2028, C, New Albany: The sophomore catcher had a big week for New Albany as they climbed into our 4A Top 25. He went 6-for-10 on the week with (3) doubles, and (5) RBI. 

+ Sam Beck, 2027, OF, Northeast Dubois: Beck had (5) hits in (7) at-bats, including a pair of homers, (5) runs scored, and (6) RBI's for the 1A #5 ranked Jeeps.  

+ Corey Nugent, 2027, P/IF, South Decatur: Nugent was perfect in his start against Edinburgh, striking out (16) without allowing a baserunner. Corey also went 2-for-3 with a homer during that performance. 

+ Rykin Matthias, 2026, OF/P, North Central, Bellarmine recruit: Matthias is off to a great start in his senior season. Last week, he collected (7) hits - including a double and a homer, and scored (6) runs. 

+ Brody McGaha, 2028, SS, Mooresville: Brody McGaha continues to swing a hot bat for the Pioneers five games into the season. McGaha played an instrumental role in Mooresville's two Mid State Conference wins over Decatur Central. McGaha was 4 for 7 in the two-game series with two extra base hits and two singles, including his second home run of the season in game two of the series at Decatur. 

+ Jon Riley, 2026, OF, McCutcheon: Riley was 6-for-11 last week with all of his hits hits being for extra bases. He tallied (4) doubles, a triple, a homer, and (6) RBI's with (7) runs scored.
