Mortimer Jordan (7) vs. Cullman (6)
Mortimer Jordan held off a late push from Cullman to secure a 7-6 win on Tuesday. After trading runs early, the Blue Devils took control in the middle innings, breaking a tie in the fifth when Nic Maldonado was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, followed by an RBI double from Kamari Nation to extend the lead. Mortimer Jordan later pushed the advantage to four before Cullman made a late charge to close the gap. Nation led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance and three RBIs, while John Owen Dean and Braden Cox each added multiple hits. The Blue Devils finished with nine hits and played clean defense behind their pitching staff. Cohen Thompson earned the win, going 5.2 innings while allowing three runs, as Mortimer Jordan held on late to secure the victory.
American Christian (3) vs. Northside (0)
Drew Jackson was dominant on the mound, tossing a no-hitter to lead American Christian Academy to a 3-0 win over Northside on Tuesday. In a high-level pitcher’s duel, Jackson overpowered the lineup, finishing with 11 strikeouts and not allowing a hit in the complete-game shutout. The Patriots broke through in the sixth inning, with Caleb McAusland launching a solo home run to get things started before adding additional runs to create separation. Jackson also contributed offensively with a two-hit performance, while McAusland, Hunter Elmore, and Jaylen Crocker each drove in a run as ACA backed the historic outing with timely offense and clean defense.
Charles Henderson (9) vs. Andalusia (1)
Charles Henderson rolled to a 9-1 win over Andalusia on Tuesday, using a big third inning to pull away. The Trojans built an early lead before breaking things open with a five-run third, highlighted by a two-run home run from Trenton Bryan along with several key contributions at the plate. Clay Johnson was strong on the mound, tossing a complete game while allowing just one unearned run and striking out five. Charles Henderson finished with 11 hits, with Bryan leading the way with two hits and three RBIs, while Cooper Johnson also added a multi-hit performance. The Trojans showed patience at the plate with nine walks and applied pressure on the bases with four stolen bases.
Boaz (11) vs. Sardis (10)
Boaz outlasted Sardis 11-10 on Tuesday in a back-and-forth slugfest, powered by a big night from Cooper Whorton. Whorton led the charge with two home runs and four RBIs, delivering key swings in the middle innings to keep Boaz in front. The Pirates jumped out early, but Sardis responded multiple times, tying the game as late as the seventh inning. Boaz regained control in the eighth when Bradyn Bennett delivered a go-ahead two-run triple, followed by a sacrifice fly to extend the lead. Sardis answered with a two-run homer in the bottom half, but fell just short of completing the comeback. The Pirates finished with 13 hits, with multiple contributors throughout the lineup, while Beau Bennett earned the win in relief to close out the high-scoring victory.
Lincoln (5) vs. Moody (4)
Lincoln edged Moody 5-4 on Tuesday, using timely hitting to secure the win. The Golden Bears jumped out early behind a two-run double from Christian Bean in the first and extended the lead in the third. After Blue Devils battled back to tie the game in the fourth, Lincoln responded in the sixth with a go-ahead RBI double from Mark Darby to regain control. Bean led the offense with three RBIs and a multi-hit performance, while Lincoln also turned a key double play defensively. Nolan Wright earned the win in relief, and Brayden Shisler closed it out to secure the save as Lincoln held on late.
Tuscaloosa County (6) vs. Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa (1)
Tuscaloosa County defeated Hillcrest 6-0 on Tuesday behind a dominant performance on the mound and timely offense. The Wildcats broke through in the third inning and added on late, highlighted by a big day from Dylan Carlisle, who drove in four runs with a two-run single in the fourth and a two-run double in the seventh. Tate Pettus was outstanding, tossing a complete-game shutout with 10 strikeouts while limiting Hillcrest throughout. Tuscaloosa County finished with 10 hits, with Carlisle and Ford Traweek each collecting multiple hits in the win.
Thompson (12) vs. Prattville (2)
Thompson rolled to a 12-2 win over Prattville on Tuesday, powered by a big offensive performance and a strong showing on the mound. Wyatt Williams led the charge with two home runs and three RBIs, going deep in both the first and third innings to set the tone early. After a close start, the Warriors broke the game open with a seven-run fifth inning, stringing together hits, walks, and aggressive baserunning to pull away. Thompson finished with 13 hits, with Noah Quang, Logan Watson, Aiden DeRamus, Cooper Craycraft, and Williams all recording multiple hits. Ashton Blair earned the win, allowing just two runs over five innings, as Thompson controlled the game from the middle innings on.
Hewitt-Trussville (9) vs. Oak Mountain (4)
Hewitt-Trussville pulled away for a 9-4 win over Oak Mountain on Tuesday, using a big fourth inning to take control. Oak Mountain jumped out to a 3-1 lead through the first three innings, highlighted by a solo home run from Xander Hughes and RBI hits from Joshua Vincent and Mason McLemore. The Huskies answered in the fourth, erupting for multiple runs with key hits from Sawyer Jackson, Koal Duckett, and Hudson Mitchell, along with a sacrifice bunt from Taylor Alfano to flip the game. Hewitt-Trussville finished with 11 hits, led by Mitchell’s 3-for-4 performance, while Duckett added multiple hits. The Huskies also applied pressure on the bases with six stolen bases and showed patience at the plate with eight walks. Cale McIntosh earned the win in relief, striking out eight over four strong innings as Hewitt-Trussville pulled away late.
GW Long (7) vs. Ariton (6)
GW Long rallied late to edge Ariton 7-6 on Tuesday in a back-and-forth battle. After falling behind early, the Rebels answered multiple times before delivering the decisive blow in the fifth inning. Trailing 6-5, GW Long took the lead for good on an RBI walk followed by a two-run single from Matthew McDaniel. McDaniel led the offense with two RBIs, while Aaron Yarbrough also drove in a pair. The Rebels applied constant pressure on the bases, swiping nine stolen bases in the win. Lawson German earned the win with a complete-game effort, working through seven innings while limiting damage and keeping GW Long within striking distance until the offense broke through late.
Stanhope Elmore (2) vs. Wetumpka (1)
Stanhope Elmore outlasted Wetumpka 2-1 in 10 innings on Tuesday in a tightly contested pitcher’s duel. After both teams traded runs early, the game remained tied until extra innings, when Cavarous Ellis delivered the go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 10th to give the Mustangs the lead. Jordan Jones was outstanding, going the distance while allowing just one unearned run and striking out eight. Stanhope Elmore managed timely offense, with Hayden Anderson and Ellis each driving in a run, while the Mustangs showed patience at the plate with seven walks in the win.
