Desert Oasis 9, Coronado 1
Desert Oasis avenged their earlier meeting with a clinical 9-1 road victory over Coronado on Wednesday. The Diamondbacks capitalized on a defensive collapse by the Cougars, scoring eight of their nine runs in a high-octane three-inning stretch between the second and fourth.

The story of the game was senior Crue Smith, who earned the win with five strong innings of work. Despite navigating heavy traffic, Smith struck out six and allowed only one run, effectively pitching out of multiple jams to stifle the Coronado offense. Brody Griffith set the tone at the top of the lineup, recording two hits and providing two scoreless innings of relief. Landon O'Dell provided the bulk of the run support, driving in three runs, while Ryan Roshak reached base in three of his four plate appearances. Coronado's Jesse Jaime turned in a standout day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and a triple, but the Cougars were unable to cash in on their 11-hit performance.

The offense was led by a pair of massive performances from junior Stone Amsden and senior Keimani Johnson. Amsden was a force at the top of the lineup, going a perfect 4-for-4 with a solo home run and two stolen bases. Johnson provided the middle-of-the-order muscle, finishing 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. The Aggies struck early in the first inning with RBI knocks from Colt Christman and Alex Scaggs to take a 2-0 lead. After the Crusaders battled back to tie the game, Arbor View reclaimed the lead in the fifth behind a disciplined approach that saw Hayden Eckery draw a bases-loaded walk. Greyson Reyes provided the exclamation point in the sixth, launching a solo home run to right field to extend the lead.
