+ RESURRECTION CATHOLIC VS TAYLORSVILLE

Resurrection Catholic picked up a 6-3 win over Taylorsville on Friday behind a strong all-around performance. King led the way offensively, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, while McCormick added two RBIs as part of a 10-hit team effort. The Eagles broke through in the fourth inning and stayed in control the rest of the way. Schnoor went the distance on the mound, allowing three runs over seven innings while striking out six to earn the win. Resurrection Catholic also applied pressure on the bases with six stolen bases in the victory.

+ MARSHALL ACADEMY VS WEST UNION

West Union earned a 6-3 win over Marshall Academy on Friday behind timely hitting and a pair of home runs. The Eagles struck first and added on with a two-run homer from Burks in the second. After Marshall Academy tied the game in the fifth, West Union quickly responded, retaking the lead on a sacrifice fly before Grey Morrison’s two-run shot in the sixth provided insurance. Grey Morrison and Roberts each had two hits, while Morrison and Burks drove in two runs apiece. Herod picked up the win, and Henry closed it out to secure the victory.

+ SEBASTOPOL VS ETHEL

Sebastopol picked up a 5-3 win over Ethel on Friday behind a dominant performance from Gaddis. The right-hander struck out 11 over six innings, allowing just four hits and two runs, while also driving in two runs at the plate. After Ethel tied the game in the fourth, Sebastopol regained control in the sixth on an RBI single from Strickland and added insurance shortly after. Sebastopol totaled nine hits, with Gaddis, Strickland, and Commer each recording two, while also swiping four bases. Ethel matched that aggressiveness on the bases and was led by Renfroe’s two-hit effort, but couldn’t overcome the late push.

+ ENTERPRISE VS MIZE

Mize took a 4-2 win over Enterprise on Friday in a tightly contested game. The Bulldogs grabbed an early lead and answered each time Enterprise tied it, finally pulling ahead for good in the fifth with a pair of runs on a sacrifice bunt and sac fly. Barnes earned the win, while McAlpin was lights out in relief, tossing 2.2 hitless innings with five strikeouts to close it out. Davis drove in two runs, and Myers added a pair of hits at the top of the lineup. Enterprise was limited to three hits in the loss, with Floyd accounting for two of them.

+ STARKVILLE VS GERMANTOWN

Germantown walked it off in dramatic fashion, defeating Starkville 5-4 on Friday. Trailing 4-3 in the seventh, Hardy delivered the game-winning moment with a two-run single to lift the Mavericks. Germantown struck first in the opening inning, but Starkville battled back to take the lead midway through. Rayburn earned the win with 2.1 scoreless innings in relief, while Hardy drove in two runs to lead the offense. Knox paced Starkville with a 3-for-4 performance, and Anthony added two RBIs, but the Mavericks had the final answer.
