+ FIRST ASSEMBLY CHRISTIAN VS BARTLETT

Bartlett defeated First Assembly Christian 3-2 in walk-off fashion on Monday, scoring the winning run with a bases-loaded walk in the eighth inning. Bartlett took an early lead with RBI hits in the third before First Assembly tied the game in the seventh. Both teams were strong on the mound, combining for 26 strikeouts in the contest. Bartlett finished with nine hits and played solid defense to help secure the extra-inning victory.

+ MACON COUNTY VS LIBERTY CREEK

Liberty Creek defeated Macon County 1-0 on Monday in a tight pitcher’s duel as three pitchers combined for a shutout. The game’s only run came in the sixth inning on an RBI double. Liberty Creek finished with several hits and turned a double play defensively, while the pitching staff limited Macon County to just a couple of hits. Macon County’s starter also delivered a strong outing with double-digit strikeouts, but Liberty Creek’s late run proved to be the difference.

+ COTTONDALE VS KNOXVILLE CENTRAL

Knoxville Central defeated Cottondale 6-3 on Monday after breaking a tie with a pair of runs in the fifth inning. Knoxville Central scored first in the third and later added insurance behind timely hits and productive outs. The starting pitcher worked five strong innings, allowing just a few hits while striking out seven. Knoxville Central also applied pressure on the bases with six stolen bases and drew several walks to help secure the win.

+ MCMINN COUNTY VS OAK RIDGE

Oak Ridge defeated McMinn County 2-1 in walk-off fashion on Monday in a tightly contested pitcher’s duel. Oak Ridge scored first in the third inning before McMinn County tied the game in the seventh. In the bottom half of the inning, Oak Ridge delivered a walk-off RBI single to secure the win. Oak Ridge’s pitching staff combined for double-digit strikeouts and limited McMinn County to just a handful of hits in the victory.

+ HUNTINGDON VS SOUTH GIBSON

South Gibson defeated Huntingdon 5-4 on Monday after building an early lead and holding off a late rally. South Gibson jumped ahead with a two-run home run in the first and added three more runs in the second on another homer to take a five-run advantage. Huntingdon chipped away throughout the game with several hits but couldn’t complete the comeback. South Gibson’s pitching staff and clean defense helped preserve the narrow victory.
