The Prep Baseball Louisiana High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wedensday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

Week 2 Stats

-Innings Pitched: 9

-Earned Runs: 0

-Hits Allowed: 0

-Strikeouts: 17

-Walks: 4

The former Jr. Future Gamer showed exactly why he’s regarded as the top southpaw in Louisiana’s 2028 class with a dominant Week 2 performance.

Conley made his first start last Monday against Live Oak and was electric, spinning four no-hit innings with just one walk and six strikeouts. He didn’t factor into the decision, but set the tone in what turned into a 4-3 Bulldogs win.

He came back on Saturday against Lakeshore and somehow raised the bar even higher — firing five more no-hit innings with three walks and 11 punchouts.

For the week?

Nine no-hit innings. Four walks. Seventeen strikeouts.

That’s dominance.
