Week of February 23rd

Monday

Blake Chupp, 3B, 2027, Strong Rock Christian
Uncommitted. The former Junior Future Gamer looked the part in the box as he put the Patriots out to an early lead. Caught an upper 80’s fastball down the middle and jumped all over it for the no-doubt 2-run HR to LCF. Lean strength with plenty more to come and tools to project in the wiry 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame. Stays simple as the plate with very minimal wasted effort in the cut. Well-balanced and leverages the barrel well to the pull-side with present bat speed through the zone. Chupp brings a potent hit/power combo to pace the lineup and has been a consistent performer over the years as he will be a good add for a recruiting class at the next level.

Jayden Moss, 1B, 2028, Gatewood
It was a huge showing on opening night for the Gatewood first-baseman. Collected 6 RBI’s in a 3-hit performance with a 2- Run HR, and a pair of 2 RBI doubles as well. Immense strength in physicality in the box as he stands at 6-foot-1, 245-pound frame with big-league bloodlines that only strengthen the profile further. Utilizes a slight toe-tap as he generates strength from the ground-up with ability to stay balanced through the zone. Enormous impact in the barrel with minimal wasted effort from a potent RH cut backed by significant hand/bat speed. Feel for the zone stands out and adjustability in the path stands out in an all-fields approach. The juice and feel to hit is real for Moss as a breakout Spring campaign appears to be well under way.
