TENNESSEE - We're excited to unveil our Power 25 countdown rankings around the state. Our Prep Baseball staff worked diligently at ranking these top 25 teams, while looking at their records, scores, and player performances over the previous season. These rankings will obviously continue to change as teams play more games as the season goes on. But for now, let's begin our countdown on our 2026 Power 25.

Today, we begin our countdown by looking at the No. 2 spot, which belongs to the Baylor Red Raiders.

POWER 25 COUNTDOWN: NO. 2 📊

BAYLOR RED RAIDERS

The Baylor School baseball program finished the 2025 season going 22-8 and was put out by Christian Brothers in the regional round. Coming into the spring, the Red Raiders return almost their entire squad from a year ago which is loaded with committed talent in both their lineup and pitching staff. 

The lineup will be a big strength and will be led by 2027 Tennessee commit C Blake Lundy who will return to the 3 hole and catcher position for the Red Raiders. Blake possesses an ideal frame to stick at catcher long term standing at 6’3 225 lbs. In 2025, Blake won player of the year for PBR Tennessee and also was named Mr. Baseball. His numbers were off the charts hitting .443 with 15 HRs. Behind the plate, Blake has an absolute cannon with an arm up to 86 MPH and a pop time in the 1.85-1.9 range. 2027 Alabama commit MIF Mac Morris will return as the starting shortstop and top of the order hitter. At the plate, Mac is tooled up with consistent 100 MPH plus exit velocities and 6.7 speed. In the field, Mac has a chance to stick in the middle of the field with advanced actions and a 90 MPH plus arm. 2026 Alabama commit INF Brooks Berry is a left-handed power bat for the Red Raiders that will return to hit cleanup. Brooks has a projectable frame standing at 6’2 205 lbs and projects as a power bat at the next level. 2026 Clemson commit OF Jack Schuman is the leadoff hitter for Baylor and has a good mix of both power and speed. Jack has put up exit velocities above 100 MPH and also has blazing speed. 2027 Wake Forest commit INF Sam Godbout is a good athlete with a projectable frame at 6’2 195 lbs. At the plate, Sam showed big power at the East Tennessee Fall Showcase putting up multiple 102 MPH exit velocities while also running a 6.8 60. 2028 INF Emerson Morris will also return to the third base position for the Red Raiders where he played as a freshman. Emerson showed well at the Preseason All-State putting up exit velocities in the upper 90’s and a 90 MPH arm across the infield. At the plate, Emerson is a barrel machine and showed very well as a freshman. 

The pitching staff for Baylor will also be an area of strength as they return both of their top two arms. 2026 Pittsburgh commit LHP Wells Grisham is a Super 60 alum where he showcased a fastball up to 92 MPH and a big curveball with a 2600 spin rate. Wells has big stature standing at 6’2 245 lbs which he does a good job utilizing to create horsepower. 2026 Kennesaw State commit LHP Henry Allen has been a workhorse for the Red Raiders with an upper 80’s fastball and good offspeed offerings. With a 6’3 175 lbs frame, Henry has more in the tank that should show up this spring. 2026 Cleveland State commit RHP Foy Hamaker is a big arm that will be counted on this spring. Foy has a fastball in the upper 80s with good offspeed.

The Baylor Red Raiders are probably the pound for pound most talented team in the state with a lineup full of SEC and ACC commits. The state championship should be theirs to lose in May.
