Texas Diamond Notes: Week 8

The Texas Diamond Notes will focus on highlighting some of the top performances across the state based on nominations from high school coaches. We will highlight positions players, pitchers and two-way players every Tuesday evening of the high school season that had impressive weeks during their team's games.
A special thank you to all of the high school coaches for nominating their players.
WEEK 8 DIAMOND NOTES
+ Garet Hackenbruch, RHP (Atascocita, 2027):
Hackenbrich pitched a complete game no-hitter against North Shore. He allowed zero hits and zero runs while striking out seven batters and issuing only one walk.
+ Jadrian Herrera, Pitcher/SS (Dimmitt, 2027):
Herrera pitched seven innings, giving up three hits and zero earned runs while striking out 13 batters in a game that was important for playoff seedings and third place. At the plate, he went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a walk. For the season, he has started eight games, compiling a 7-1 record with one save, a 2.18 ERA, and 67 strikeouts over 41.2 innings pitched.
+ Jancarlos Ortiz, OF (Atascocita, 2027):
Ortiz went 7-for-9 to post a .778 batting average and a 2.061 OPS. His performance included a grand slam and a triple, along with five RBI, five runs scored, one walk, and two stolen bases.

+ Sam Perez, RHP/SS (Creekview, 2027):
Perez pitched a five-inning no-hitter on April 10 in a 15-0 win over Newman Smith. He allowed zero runs and zero walks, striking out seven batters, with the only two baserunners reaching on an error and a hit-by-pitch. Offensively during that game, he went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored, contributing to a weekly total of 4-for-7 with a triple, two RBI, and four runs scored. For the season, he has a 4-3 record with a 2.40 ERA and 49 strikeouts over 49.2 innings, and he is hitting .321 with two doubles, one triple, 11 RBI, and nine runs scored.
+ Ryder Renfro, RHP (Kingwood, 2027; Texas commit):
Renfro threw a seven-inning no-hitter to earn a 1-0 record for the week. He allowed zero runs and four walks while striking out 15 batters. On the season, he has recorded 66 strikeouts and 13 walks over 42.2 innings pitched.

+ Mark Rojas, RHP/IF (Creekview, 2027):
Rojas pitched a six-inning one-hitter on April 7 in an 8-0 road victory against Newman Smith. He allowed zero runs and four walks while striking out 10 batters. At the plate in that game, he went 2-for-3 with one RBI, one run scored, one walk, and two stolen bases, bringing his weekly totals to 4-for-7 with a double, two RBI, three runs scored, one walk, and three stolen bases. For the season, he has a 3-4 record with a 1.85 ERA and 34 strikeouts over 34 innings, while batting .458 with seven doubles, two triples, 22 RBI, 14 runs scored, six walks, and seven stolen bases.
+ Collin Vaughan, RHP (Prosper Walnut Grove, 2027):
Vaughan pitched 8.1 innings in a 10-inning victory against McKinney North. He allowed just one hit and one unearned run while walking one batter and striking out 11. On the season, he holds a 6-1 record with a 1.23 ERA and 69 strikeouts across 46 innings pitched.
