North Carolina Power 25 Update
April 6, 2026
As conference play intensifies across the state, the latest update to the Prep Baseball North Carolina Power 25 reflects another week of separation among the top programs. With records now pushing into double-digit games for most clubs, resumes are becoming clearer through series results, quality wins, and consistency on both sides of the ball.
This update incorporates records through April 5, along with movement from the March 23 rankings.
Inside the Top 5
The top tier of the Power 25 continues to be defined by strong records and proven wins against quality competition.
- No. 1 DH Conley (12-1)
Continues to set the pace statewide with one of the strongest resumes in North Carolina. Wins over Wake Forest, Cardinal Gibbons, Terry Sanford, and South Central highlight a team that has consistently handled top competition. - No. 2 Metrolina Christian Academy (17-1)
One of the most dominant records in the state. The lone blemish comes against a ranked Marvin Ridge club, but the body of work keeps them firmly in the title conversation. - No. 3 Charlotte Catholic (13-3)
Has rebounded from early-season inconsistency, highlighted by a sweep of Weddington, showing the ability to control series play. - No. 4 Wesleyan Christian Academy (11-2)
Continues to stack quality wins, including Charlotte Christian and TC Roberson, while competing against a strong schedule. - No. 5 Charlotte Christian (15-4)
One of the most battle-tested teams in the state, with multiple ranked wins and a strong showing in out-of-state play.
This group continues to separate itself through depth, schedule strength, and the ability to win series consistently.
Teams Moving Up
Several teams made significant jumps in this update, backed by strong weeks and consistent performance.
- Myers Park (▲2 to No. 7 | 15-2)
Continues to climb with one of the best records in the state, adding to an already strong resume with wins over Reagan, West Forsyth, and Apex Friendship. - Wake Forest (▲5 to No. 9 | 13-2)
One of the biggest movers, continuing its surge after entering the rankings. Wins over Apex Friendship and Grace Christian continue to validate the jump. - Marvin Ridge (▲4 to No. 11 | 10-5)
Has found rhythm after an uneven start, stacking key series wins over Sun Valley, Cuthbertson, and Weddington. - West Forsyth (▲4 to No. 13 | 13-2)
Continues to build momentum, including a notable win over Laney, while showing consistency in conference play. - Providence (▲2 to No. 16 | 15-1)

Remains undefeated and continues to climb steadily, building one of the most impressive records in the state.
New to the Rankings
This week introduces a few key additions, including both new entrants and returning teams.
- Reagan (No. 21 | 12-2)
Returns to the Power 25 after previously falling out. A strong overall record and competitive schedule bring them back into the mix. - Grace Christian (No. 20 | 10-3)
Re-enters the rankings after dropping out in the previous update. Despite losses to top teams, their overall body of work supports the return. - North Lincoln (No. 18 | 13-0) (continued presence)
While not new this week, North Lincoln continues to establish itself after entering the rankings last update, remaining unbeaten.
This group reflects how teams can cycle in and out of the rankings based on performance against high-level competition.
Just Outside the Top 25
Several teams are knocking on the door and remain firmly in the conversation:
- Weddington (8-7 | No. 26) – Still dangerous despite recent losses, with wins over Providence and Sun Valley.
- Topsail (12-3 | No. 27) – Owns quality wins over Terry Sanford and Laney.
- South Caldwell (12-2 | No. 28) – Strong record with wins over Lincoln Charter.
