Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we'll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team's box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they're able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. Huntley defeated DeSmet by the score of 11-2. Ashton Jones (2027) led the way on offense going 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Aiden Eickelman added a hit with two RBI and one run scored. On the mound, five arms threw for the Raiders, collecting 10 strikeouts with three walks, two runs and three hits allowed.
11New Trier 5 McCracken County (KY) 4
New Trier earned the 5-4 win over Kentucky’s McCracken County on a walk-off single from Chase Estrada (2029) who finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBI. Mason Bloom (2026; Triton College) had a perfect 3-for-3 day with one RBI, three runs scored, and one walk. Keenan Donaldson (2026) added a triple in the game with one run scored. On the mound, Greg Campitelli (2026; Augustana) tossed four innings, struck out four, walked one, allowed one run and four hits.
17St. Joseph-Ogden 9 Bradley-Bourbonnais 6
St. Joseph-Ogden earned the 9-6 win over Bradley-Bourbonnais, scoring all nine runs in the third inning. RHP Asher Pruemer (2026; Kaskaskia JC) threw four innings on the mound, struck out 10, walked none, allowed three runs and five hits. RHP Trevor Ames (2026; Morton JC) tossed 2.1 innings in relief, struck out four, allowed one walk, one hit, and no runs. At the plate, 1B Bryson Houchens (2026; Morton JC) added a double with three RBI while Parker Fitch (2026; Lake Land JC) added a double, two RBI, one run scored and a walk.

Lemont defeated Naperville North by the score of 2-1, scoring one run in both the sixth and seventh innings to earn the win. RHP Luke Marusarz (2027) threw three innings in relief for Lemont, striking out four, walking one, allowing no runs and one hit, also earning the win. 3B Sean Murray (2026) added two hits for Lemont, including one RBI. For Naperville North, LHP Max Steele (2026; Benedictine) started on the mound and threw four innings, struck out eight, walked one, allowed no runs and one hit.

Triad defeated Morton by the score of 11-1. 1B Keegan Seipp (2027; Xavier) went 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored. CF Braxton Yates (2026; Lewis & Clark CC) went a perfect 2-for-2 in the game with a triple, double, two RBI, three runs scored and two walks. DH Nathan Klucker (2027) added a pair of hits in the game with two RBI and one run scored, while 2B Kannon Seipp (2027; Jefferson JC) added two hits of his own with two RBI and one run scored. For Morton, Sammy Heer (2026) swatted a solo home run.

Sacred Heart-Griffin defeated Williamsville by the score of 10-3. 2B Austin Rutter (2027) went 2-for-4 in the game with a triple, three RBI and two runs scored. Six other Cyclones added a hit in the game, highlighted by a double from 2B Carson Butler (2026; Heartland CC), 3B Seth Monk (2026), and CF Ty Springer (2026; Lincoln Land CC), with Springer and Butler also driving in a run and scoring twice.

Father McGivney earned the 8-6 win over Memphis University on Friday. CF Omar Avalos (2027; SIU-E) went a perfect 3-for-3 in the game with a triple and three runs scored, while DH Ben Sink (2026; Illinois-Springfield) went 3-for-4 with a game-high four RBI and two runs scored.

Oak Park-River Forest defeated United Township by the score of 8-1. 1B Brandon Beasley (2027; Illinois State) tallied two hits in the game with two RBI, and SS Johnny Nelson (2026; Wright State) added two hits, one being a double, with one RBI, three runs scored and a walk. LF Xavier Martin (2027) added a triple in the game with one RBI, and DH Liam Brown (2027) added two hits, two RBI, and one run scored.

Oak Park-River Forest defeated Edwardsville by the score of 4-1. Cam Barnes (2026; Eastern Illinois) tossed three innings for OPRF and struck out two, walked two, allowed no runs and three hits. At the plate, Brandon Beasley (2027; Illinois State) added a double with one RBI and one run scored while Robert Kolovitz (2027) added a hit with two RBI. For Edwardsville, Nick Chiarodo (2028) added three hits (two doubles) and Andrew McCutchen (2029) added two hits. On the mound, Tony Eberlin (2026; TCU) tossed three innings with four strikeouts, one walk, no runs allowed and one hit allowed.

Homewood-Flossmoor defeated Montini Catholic by the score of 8-7. RHP Henry Humes (2026; Northwestern) started on the mound and tossed 4.1 innings, struck out eight, walked one, allowed two runs and three hits. SS Ashton Jones (2027) went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and one run scored, while DH Jhames Holley (2026; Joliet JC) delivered two hits with one home run, one RBI, two runs scored and two walks. 1B Brock Hamilton (2028) added three hits of his own, with one RBI.

Lake Zurich took down No. 24 Barrington by the score of 7-3. RHP Rylan Lamp (2026) threw three innings in relief and earned the win, striking out five, walking two, allowing no runs and two hits. 1B Cooper Kaczmarek (2027) led the way offensively, going 2-for-2 with one run scored. CF Carson Hamblin (2027) tallied a hit with one RBI and one run scored.

C Parker Zasada (2026; South Suburban JC) went a perfect 3-for-3 on the day with two runs scored, while CF Jonathan Liesen (2026; Morton JC) tallied a pair of hits, one being a double, with two RBI. On the mound, RHP Robert Soto (2027) threw five innings of shutout baseball with three strikeouts, two walks, and four hits allowed. RHP Anthony Perez (2026) tossed two innings in relief, struck out three, allowed no runs or walks, and one hit. For O’Fallon, RHP Landon Dipple (2027) threw five innings in relief, struck out eight, walked one, allowed no runs and one hit.

At the plate, Brandon Beasley (2027; Illinois State) added a double with one RBI and one run scored while Robert Kolovitz (2027) added a hit with two RBI. For Edwardsville, Nick Chiarodo (2028) added three hits (two doubles) and Andrew McCutchen (2029) added two hits. On the mound, Tony Eberlin (2026; TCU) tossed three innings with four strikeouts, one walk, no runs allowed and one hit allowed.
Alton 3 Oswego 1
Alton took down Oswego 3-1. Donovan Ducey earned the win with four innings pitched and one unearned run, scattering two hits. Fletcher Groppel earned the save. Parker Cannon went 2-for-3 to help pace the offense, while Ducey helped his own cause going 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Jack Puent also added a double and a run scored, while Alex Pilger went 1-for-2. For Oswego, Hunter Amilio went a perfect 2-for-2 on the day.
Glenwood 3 Morris 2
Glenwood took down Morris by the score of 3-2, with only five hits collected between both teams. It was a dominant pitching performance from Glenwood’s staff. Dylan Huff (2026) got the start and was dominant in his four innings of work, allowing only two hits and racking up seven strikeouts. Seniors Jack Kurman (1 IP, 2 K) and Grady Mueller (2 IP, H, BB, 5 K) both had strong outings in relief. Mueller also went 1-for-2 at the plate with a HR in Glenwood’s win.
Joliet Catholic 10 De Smet (MO) 8
Joliet Catholic had the bats working in their win over De Smet, taking them down by a score of 10-8. Derrick Pomatto and Josh Perez brought across six of the ten runs, with both players going 3-for-4 on the day with a double and three RBIs. AJ Perez (2-for-4, 2B, RBI), John Curbis (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBIs), and Kael Lynes (2-for-3) all had multi-hit performances en route to the Hilltoppers win.
North Clay/Clay City 4 Pleasant Plains 0
North Clay took down Pleasant Plains 4-0 as Trevan Sidwell went four strong innings to earn the win. Trenton Ingram paced the offense going 4-for-4 with two triples.
Teutopolis 4 Columbia 3
Teutopolis took down Columbia by the score of 4-3. Davin Worman (2026) was a major contributor in the win, throwing four strong innings, allowing only one run and racking up seven strikeouts. Worman also had a strong day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs, including a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 7th to give the Wooden Shoes the win.

Maynor also got the start, collecting four hitless innings, allowing three walks, an unearned run, and punching out six in the win.

The Raiders opened their season hot with a 10-0 win in five innings. Eli Martin was dominant on the mound with four innings pitched, no runs and five strikeouts to one walk. Illinois State commit RJ Duncheon helped pace the offense going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Auggie Lohnes added two hits with a home run and three RBIs, while Jackson Ahrens (3B, 2 RBI), Keegan Barnes (2B, 2 RBI), Colton Catton (2-for-2, 3 R) and Dalton Oakman (RBI) helped the offensive attack.
East Peoria 4 Galesburg 2
RJ Duncheon led the Raiders to a 4-2 victory over Galesburg in the nightcap (7 IP, 16 K, BB, 2-for-4, RBI). Auggie Lohnes went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, run scored and a hit-by-pitch. Jackson Ahrens was 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and a walk. Colton Catton added a single and a run scored, while Jacob Bond singled as well with a walk.

Evanston took down Payton College Prep 4-3. Tommy Gilroy knocked in what proved to be the game-winning RBI by laying down a sac bunt in the bottom of the fourth. The Wildkits got the offense started early when Elliot Paul (2027) knocked in the first run on an RBI single, Aaron Shalin (2026; Hamline) hit a sac fly, and Ryan Rappoport stole home to score the third run of the game. Sam Kalil (2027) pitched three strong innings striking out five, and giving up a walk and a hit. Matt Gilroy slammed the door, pitching three and two-thirds innings striking out three with no hits allowed, earning the win.
Fenton 8 Niles West 4
Fenton took down Niles West 8-4. Connor Cheney (2026) (1-for-2, 2B, BB) and Roman Chaidez (2-for-3, 2 1B) each led the offense knocking in two RBIs. Jason Anguiano and Andrew Trimarchi (2028) also knocked in an RBI. Anguiano pitched a quality start by tossing five innings striking out six while giving up six hits, four walks, and two earned runs, earning the win. Tyler Bernero finished the game throwing the final two-thirds of an inning and allowing two earned runs.

Fisher took down Arcola 7-4. Colt Daugherty (2029) fired five innings with just three hits allowed, two runs and 13 strikeouts. Weston Ensign (2028) went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Jesse Arndt (2026) also went 2-for-4, collecting three RBIs.
