NOTABLE RECAPS FROM TUESDAY
Berkeley Prep (FL) (7) vs. #1 American Fork (6)
The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers pulled off a gritty extra-inning escape, edging out the American Fork Cavemen in a 7–6 thriller that went eight innings. American Fork brought the power early, highlighted by a massive three-run home run from Gavin Robinson and a relentless three-hit performance from Talon Willardson. However, the Buccaneers remained patient and resilient, capitalizing on defensive miscues and high-pressure situations to keep the chains moving. Parker Mitzel proved to be the ultimate difference-maker, locking things down with three innings of relief to earn the win while also contributing an RBI at the plate. George Cook helped anchor the Berkeley Prep attack with two hits, including a double, to stay aggressive. Despite a focused start on the mound from Kenny Johnson and a late-inning push from the Cavemen, American Fork’s six defensive errors proved too much to overcome in the final frames, allowing the Buccaneers to secure a hard-fought victory in a game defined by sheer endurance.

Boulder City (NV) (5) vs. #21 Herriman (6)
The Herriman Mustangs showcased their depth and defensive resilience to hold off a late-charging Boulder City squad in a 6–5 victory. Cameron Pettitt played a pivotal role as a two-way force, earning the win on the mound with two solid innings of work while also providing a run-scoring double at the plate. Cache Carter helped set the tone for the Mustangs' offense with a perfect day at the dish, going 2-for-2 to keep the pressure on the Eagles' pitching staff throughout the afternoon. Boulder City displayed incredible grit and actually out-hit the Mustangs 10 to 9, led by a standout performance from Cael Starley, who collected three hits including a double. Despite the Eagles' persistent offensive threat and a multi-hit game from Karter Law, Boston Jacobson’s two scoreless innings of relief proved essential in navigating a high-leverage final frame and securing the hard-fought win for Herriman.

#20 Jordan (5) vs. #17 Ridgeline (3)
The Jordan Beetdiggers used a combination of explosive extra-base hits and a steady collective pitching performance to turn back the Ridgeline Riverhawks in a focused 5–3 victory. The Beetdiggers' offense was headlined by Kade Carter, who showcased his speed and power with both a double and a triple while driving in two runs. Dallon Molder provided the biggest swing of the afternoon, clearing the fence for a home run to help build the early lead. On the mound, Talon Petersen set a strong tone over four innings to earn the win, before Carter shifted from shortstop to the bump to navigate the final three frames and secure the result. Ridgeline fought to stay within striking distance behind Easton Hammond, who collected two hits including a double, and Jensen Maddux, who added a triple and an RBI. Despite a flawless three-inning relief appearance from Ripken Jensen that kept the game tight, Jordan’s early power surge and defensive stability proved too much for the Riverhawks to overcome.

Emery (9) vs. Juab (8)
Emery emerged victorious in a high-stakes, back-and-forth thriller, outlasting the Juab Varsity Wasps 9–8. The Emery offense set a blistering pace early on, fueled by a balanced attack that saw Peyton Nielson, Trygg Jensen, Mason Thornley, and Ben Johansen all drive in multiple runs. Nielson was a true dual-threat on the afternoon, collecting two hits—including a double—at the plate while striking out five over four innings of work to earn the win. Juab displayed incredible resilience, mounting a furious late-game charge led by Rhett Richards, who blasted a home run, and Easton Park, who crossed the plate three times. Despite Juab’s aggressive baserunning and a dominant relief appearance from Carter Bair, who racked up five strikeouts, Emery’s ability to capitalize on early opportunities proved to be just enough. Trygg Jensen stepped onto the mound in the final frame to record the last out, slamming the door and securing a gritty victory in a game defined by narrow margins and high-pressure moments.

Alta (2) vs. #13 Timpanogos (3)
The Timpanogos Timberwolves outlasted the Alta Hawks in a focused, low-scoring affair, grinding out a 3–2 victory behind a clinical performance on the mound. The afternoon belonged to Corbin Hardy, who was absolute nails as a two-way threat; he surrendered just five hits over a complete seven-inning shift while racking up nine strikeouts. Not content with just dominating on the bump, Hardy also accounted for two of his team's three total hits, including a crucial double. Alta showed plenty of life, specifically through McCoy Johnson, who provided a jolt of power with a home run, and Abel Velador, who turned in a multi-hit game. Despite a strong start from Tatum Johnson, who struck out seven, and a sharp relief appearance by Alexandros Price, the Timberwolves’ ability to capitalize on base runners and Hardy’s efficiency proved to be the winning formula in this high-tension battle.
