The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement is present throughout Nebraska. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across the Cornhusker State.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons at Werner Park at the NSAA championship games, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Nebraska.

TEAM OUTLOOK

“We’re coming off a 5–15 season in 2025, but we feel good about where we’re headed. We graduated a few key seniors, yet we return a solid core group with valuable varsity experience, including five to six everyday starters. We’re also excited to have some arms back on the mound after injuries last year, which should add depth and stability to our pitching staff. Our focus will be simple; throw strikes, play quality defense behind our pitchers, and compete every day. If we do those things consistently, we believe we’ll take a big step forward this spring.” – Kyle Ferguson, head coach
