After a long offseason that felt even longer than it actually was, the 2026 high school baseball season has finally arrived.  This time of year is always a favorite, especially with the level of talent expected to take the field this spring.  Across South Carolina, competitive teams and standout players are ready to make their mark, and we’re excited to bring you full coverage of the action.  The Prep Baseball South Carolina staff will be out in force all season, covering key matchups, standout performances, and much more.

To kick things off, we’ve released our preseason 5A-1A Top-10 Polls, along with the SCSIA Top-10.  Our Prep Baseball staff carefully evaluated teams based on last season’s success, key departures, and returning impact players to compile these rankings. Of course, the polls are sure to evolve as the season unfolds, with plenty of teams making their case for a spot in the rankings.
