The Missouri high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 19, opening day for regular season action under MSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Missouri Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK

No. of Returning Position Players: 4

Top Returners:

• Wyatt Mabe (2027) - 3B, 5'9", 165, L/R
  • Batted in the middle of our lineup last year and played 3B and 2B. Has a great approach at the plate and can hit the ball to all fields.
• Cameron Miller (2027) - SS/P, 6'4", 180, R/R
  • TCU commit
  • Will be at the top of our rotation and will also make the move to SS this year. We expect Cam to have a huge role on this team.
• Rowan Johnson (2027) - C, 5'10", 210, R/R
  • Rowan caught a lot for us last year and he will be our horse behind the plate again this season. He has also gotten on the mound this offseason and is progressing towards being a factor for us there as well.
• Adam McKnight (2027) - OF, 6'4", 205, R/R
  • Adam has hit in the middle of the lineup for us the last two seasons and we expect him to have a big year.
• Grady Eoff (2027) - P/INF, 6', 185, R/R
  • Grady has gotten innings for us the last two years and we expect him to be one of the leaders of our staff. He will also be looking to fill one of the infield spots.
• Henry Hoesch (2026) - P, 6'2", 170, R/R
  • Henry worked his way into a closing role last year and pitched some huge innings for us. He will have a lot of opportunities this year as well.

Top Newcomers:

• Wyatt Francis (2027) - INF/OF/P, 5'10, 175, L/L
  • Wyatt pitched a little for us last year on varsity and had success. We expect him to take the next step this year, and he will also play 1B and outfield. He has a great approach at the plate.
• Miller McCoy (2028) - INF, 5'11, 155, L/R
  • Miller had a great year on JV last year as a freshmen, and we expect him to fight for a starting spot in the infield this year.
• Andrew Larsen (2026) - P, Sr, 6'3, 195, R/R
  • Andrew is new to us this year, and has already shown he has a great understanding of how to pitch. He will fight for a starting spot on the staff.
