Week in Review returns with more schools kicking off their spring seasons. We unveil our first top-50 National High School Rankings of 2026 with plenty to look forward to, Draft HQ provides insight on some of the top prospects during the NCAA DI Opening Weekend, JUCO and uncommitted spotlights, shop deals and more.


NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL RANKINGS

On Thursday, February 19, Prep Baseball announced the first national high school ranking of the 2026 season. As the season kicks off in various states, the first edition features the top-50 programs. Updated on a regular basis as more states kick off their seasons, we offer a glimpse into the process as well as links to your own state’s individual team analysis. More>>

 

The ‘Hotlist’: In the spirit of MLB’s spring training underway, the latest edition of the ‘Hotlist’ asks state directors around Prep Baseball who they think are the best battery’s in their area. Featuring uncommitted catchers teaming up with power 4 commit pitchers, class of 2027’s working with class of 2026’s and more. More>>


KINETIC ARM

On Thursday, February 12, Prep Baseball announced its partnership with Kinetic Arm, the world’s first dynamic arm support system. Focused on education and awareness, the mission is to help athletes, parents and coaches better understand workload, performance consistency and long-term development in today’s baseball climate.

Preseason ID: Before the 2026 spring season, the Preseason ID event kicks off as an identifier event for scouts and college recruiters to start their list of prospects to follow. Prospects have also shown some of their best performances in the event being at their freshest after rest and targeted off-season training, resulting in big gains, updating their Prep Baseball profile.

Strategically planned throughout each respective state, the Preseason ID event helps find new prospects to add to our following lists and highlight familiar players who are on the rise. See more about an upcoming Preseason ID event near you and sign up.

Rising Stars ID: Geared towards the 13U and 14U prospects in the classes of 2030 and 2031, the Rising Stars ID serves as an introductory event to Prep Baseball. A starting point for any player with aspirations to play at the next level, the Rising Stars is an educational experience that guides a prospect through the process of a showcase.

The event takes players through the basic skills testing with a more hands-on approach from scouting directors and staff to help create the baseline for prospects to improve upon in their careers. It will also introduce them to the data aspects behind the technology that sets Prep Baseball and its evaluation apart. The Rising Stars ID will also act as an identifier for future events such as the Junior Future Games at LakePoint Sports and provide an early preview into players who may end up on Prep Baseball rankings.
