Caleb Dameron
Prep Baseball Colorado Staff

The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 5th, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

What Coach is Saying:

"The Discovery Canyon baseball team will have 6 senior starters that have been in varsity starting lineups since their 2023 Freshman season, led by returning All-State players Cole Teltschik and Jaxon Ross. Cole is a Missouri State commit and one of the best catchers and right-handed batters in the state. Jaxon is an extremely athletic 6'2" CF that runs 60's in the 6.7 range and hits for power. Additionally, the Thunder return Pierce Hafferkamp, Jake Cody, Carson Seeley, and Hugh Tarpenning, all who made the PPAC All-Conference Team along with Teltschik and Ross. The team will have a potent lineup with the ability to hit homers from almost every one of the starting 9."
