2026 Theodore Bobcats Team Preview

Austin Sharp
Alabama Scouting Director

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Alabama.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the Jacksonville/Oxford/Montgomery area at the AISA or AHSAA state championships, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Alabama. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each AHSAA classification.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each AHSAA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

*Please note the information has been gathered from head coaches across the state, based on their replies to the questionnaire we distributed over this offseason.

TEAM OUTLOOK

Theodore enters the 2026 season looking to take a step forward after a 12-19 campaign in 2025 that ended with a first-round playoff exit. While last spring came with its share of ups and downs, the Bobcats gained valuable experience against a challenging Class 6A slate, and that growth should pay dividends as a more seasoned group returns to the field this year. With a young core continuing to mature, Theodore will aim to become more consistent and competitive throughout the season.

The foundation of this year’s team starts with a trio of key returners who will be leaned on heavily in both the lineup and the pitching staff. P Kyler Kemmeter (2026) returns as an important arm on the mound, while SS/P Aidan Germany (2026) provides versatility up the middle and another reliable pitching option. On the infield, 3B/P Jayden Davis (2027) gives the Bobcats a two-way presence who can contribute both offensively and on the mound. Adding to that core is UTL Aiden Kemmeter (2028), a young piece who is expected to continue carving out a bigger role as his experience grows. This group will be counted on to anchor the team while helping set the tone for a younger supporting cast.

Looking ahead, Theodore’s path in 2026 is about building consistency, developing depth, and taking advantage of the experience gained a year ago. With several players capable of contributing on both sides of the ball, the Bobcats will look to be playing their best baseball down the stretch as they navigate another competitive 6A schedule. If the returning core continues to progress and the younger pieces take steps forward, Theodore has a chance to show noticeable improvement and establish a stronger identity as the season unfolds.
