The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement is building throughout North Dakota. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across North Dakota.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Minot or Jamestown at the NDHSAA Class A and B State championship games, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across North Dakota.

TEAM OUTLOOK

“We lose our two best arms from the previous year in Thomas Newman and Jaxon Kolpin as well as two of our best offensive threats. We won't have great top-end pitching, but we're going to have a rotation that throws strikes. However, I do expect us to give up more runs than previous years simply because we won't have many strikeouts from our staff. Offensively, we return a lot of hitters despite losing a few good bats, so I expect our lineup to be less feast-and-famine this year and more consistent overall.” – Tim Ranum, head coach
