Top Fastballs Class of 2028

Ty Tanksley RHP / 1B / Cabot, AR / 2028

Tanksley is someone we saw a couple of times at our parks this year, and the fastball is what immediately got our attention. It’s one of the best we saw from the 2028 class. Tanksley has been up to 91 MPH in front of Prep Baseball staff, and we saw him sit in the high 80’s consistently in both outings we caught during the Super 15 and the Central Super Sophomore Games.
With a lean 6-foot-1, 182-pound frame and quick-twitch athleticism, we’re excited about his future and believe he can jump a few MPH over the next couple of years as he continues to get stronger. He pitches with a bulldog mentality, coming after hitters with a max-effort over the top style of delivery where he can really get the fastball going, and he’s able to break off an impressive breaking ball.
