LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - The Prep Baseball California High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a California high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please be sure to fill out this form before noon on Mondays. 

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wednesday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

WEEK 4 HITTER OF THE WEEK

2026 C/1B Jack Rudd - Willow Glenn HS

Rudd is off to a sensational start to the season and last week just added to his gaudy numbers.

In three games last week Rudd, an uncommitted senior, hit .750 going 8-for-12 and scoring five runs as Willow Glenn as the Rams went 3-0 on the week out scoring opponents 30-9 to improve to 6-1-1. Rudd also added a walk and an RBI to his totals for the week. 

For the season, Rudd is hitting .467 with seven RBI, six runs scored and has 14 hits through eight games hitting in the three-hole for the Rams.
