Week in Review returns to start March with the latest draft buzz with a new Draft Board and Mock Draft. The Lone Star State features the year’s first National Player of the Week, JUCO and uncommitted spotlights, Prep Baseball Shop deals and more.

DRAFT HQ  

Mock Draft: Opening the month of March and several weeks into the college season, Draft HQ released the first Mock Draft of the calendar year. The hot-start by SS Roch Cholowsky (UCLA; Hamilton HS, AZ, 2023) the No. 1-ranked player in the draft class highlights the extensive crop of talent 2026 has to offer. With breakout performances at the prep and college level, the latest edition features a shakeup throughout the draft as we predict the first 37 picks. More>>

 

Draft Board 3.0: Following the Mock Draft, we updated our MLB Draft Board, with the top 200 eligible prospects across the NCAA, JUCO and high school levels. The third version of the board features a shakeup as the No. 1-ranked prospect in the 2027 prep class and Prep Baseball All-American jumped up to the Class of 2026. Hidden sleepers awake with hot starts to their seasons, 15 new prospects join the ranks, players who have seized the 24th annual Super 60 Pro Showcase and more. More>>

 

College Crosscheck - Week 3 Winners: Continuing his stay at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX; Director of College Scouting David Seifert got an up-close look at the No. 1-ranked player in the MLB Draft, Roch Cholowsky and breakout performer OF Will Gasparino (UCLA, Harvard-Westlake HS, CA, 2023). Along with the two prospects, Seifert’s third week of action featured standout performances within Arizona State, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. More

 

College Crosscheck - Week 3 Risers: Across Arizona State, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA and Virginia Tech, the talent at Globe Life Field was oozing with 2026 and future MLB Draft talent. Preseason ID: Before the 2026 spring season, the Preseason ID event kicks off as an identifier event for scouts and college recruiters to start their list of prospects to follow. Prospects have also shown some of their best performances in the event being at their freshest after rest and targeted off-season training, resulting in big gains, updating their Prep Baseball profile.

Strategically planned throughout each respective state, the Preseason ID event helps find new prospects to add to our following lists and highlight familiar players who are on the rise. See more about an upcoming Preseason ID event near you and sign up.

Rewind to the first three weeks of Preseason ID leaderboards of ‘The Winter Pulse’: Week One / Weeks Two&Three.

Rising Stars ID: Geared towards the 13U and 14U prospects in the classes of 2030 and 2031, the Rising Stars ID serves as an introductory event to Prep Baseball. A starting point for any player with aspirations to play at the next level, the Rising Stars is an educational experience that guides a prospect through the process of a showcase.

The event takes players through the basic skills testing with a more hands-on approach from scouting directors and staff to help create the baseline for prospects to improve upon in their careers. It will also introduce them to the data aspects behind the technology that sets Prep Baseball and its evaluation apart. The Rising Stars ID will also act as an identifier for future events such as the Junior Future Games at LakePoint Sports and provide an early preview into players who may end up on Prep Baseball rankings.
