Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2026 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2026.

#15 John Carroll Patriots 

Coach Siler and the Patriots are coming off a historic run in 2025, culminating in a MIAA "A" Conference title. The senior class from a year ago was one of the more prolific classes that this state has seen in some time, however, John Carroll returns a slew of impact players on both sides that should produce yet another exciting year throughout this conference. Depth through the lineup with plenty of thump in the middle, don't sleep on this offense and their ability to put up runs in a hurry, returning a really nice tandem of senior bats that have versatility. On the bump, the Patriots return arguably the top arm in the conference, and Coach Siler will rely on some younger arms to make a jump this spring.
