WEEK 2 SCOUT BLOG

Lucas Nawrocki | LHP/OF | Aledo | 2026 | LSU Commit

Impressive two-way showing last week. Dominant on the mound over 4 IP with 10 K, 0 H and 1 BB. He also went 10-for-13 with 2 HR and a 3B at the plate. Athletic player who already shows physical strength with room to add more. On the mound, he worked 91-94 (T96) with the FB, adding a SL at 81-82 up to 2800 RPM and a CH at 85-87 with sink. Eye-opening stuff from Nawrocki.

Sebastian Castillo | SS | Byron Nelson | 2027 | LSU Commit

Hit after hit after hit for Castillo this past weekend. He deposited two home runs and added a few other XBH. Continues to show the potential for a real hit/power combo down the line. Can also hop on the mound and run it up to 94 with sink. Loves baseball and will continue to get better.

Cooper Harris | RHP | Flower Mound | 2026 | Texas Commit

Under the lights Thursday night, Harris turned in one of the more dominant performances I have seen at this level. The FB worked 90-94 with elite command, paired with a SL at 83-85 (2850 RPM) and a CB at 75-76 (2500 RPM). He struck out 17 over 6 no-hit innings, with only two balls put in play, both ground balls to the middle infield. Bullied hitters with the fastball and mixed in quality secondaries when needed. Fun to watch.

Wyatt Haire | RHP | Lubbock Cooper | 2026 | Uncommitted

6’5”, 205 physical RHP with an easy arm action. Mostly 85 mph with the FB, but the frame suggests more will come. The CB had traditional shape in the low 70s and could firm up in the future. Pitched well in a true pitcher’s duel that remained scoreless into the 6th.

Lane Furr | OF/LHP | Byron Nelson | 2026 | Angelina Commit

Furr does a lot of things well on the diamond and is an anchor in the talented Byron Nelson lineup. The LHH shows barrel control at the plate and relies on his approach to consistently produce.

Evan King | RHP | Little Elm | 2026 | Eastern Arizona Commit

The 6’5”, 225-pound senior turned in a quality outing at the Prep Baseball TX Invitational. A physical right-hander who moves well down the mound, King shows arm-side run on the fastball and projects for more velocity. Consistently pounds the zone with intent and attacks hitters with a four-pitch mix. Also hit a no-doubt grand slam off the scoreboard, showing strength and bat speed in the box.

Anthony Ortiz | RHP | Eastlake | 2026 | Abilene Christian Commit

The Abilene Christian recruit went the distance for the Falcons at the Prep Baseball TX Invitational. Ortiz consistently filled up the zone with the fastball and kept hitters off balance with the slider, generating plenty of swing-and-miss. He finished with 9 strikeouts and only 1 walk over 7 innings, showing poise and the ability to compete deep into the game.

Eduardo Rojas | IF | Eastlake | 2026 | Uncommitted

The uncommitted senior looked the part last week. Rojas showed a short right-handed stroke with the ability to turn the barrel, consistently hitting balls hard for the Falcons. Plays the game with a high motor and brings steady energy on the field.

Kyle Poindexter | OF | Aledo | 2026 | Rose State Commit

Poindexter took quality ABs at the Prep Baseball TX Invitational. The Rose State commit has shown well in front of us at events and it carried into gameplay. Collected multiple doubles on the weekend as part of a strong showing from Aledo. Solid player.

Brady Brewer | RHP/CIF | Pearland | 2026 | Bossier Parish Commit

Brewer had a solid tournament on both sides of the ball. He pounded the zone throughout his outing on the mound, working both the top and bottom of the strike zone with ease while missing bats. He made pitches when he needed to, effectively mixing a solid four-pitch arsenal against an impressive lineup.

He also did damage at the plate out of the 3-hole all weekend, including a no-doubt HR on Thursday.

Maddox McCrary | LHP/OF | Keller | 2028

After showing some promise on the mound the week prior in Austin, the ’28 left the yard on Thursday for the Indians. Quiet approach with some bat speed from a smooth LH stroke. One to watch moving forward as there is upside on the mound as well.

Jax Lane | OF/C | Lubbock Cooper | 2027 | Uncommitted

Lane looked to be a spark at the top of the Pirates lineup. An athlete with defensive versatility who can help his team win in a lot of ways. He roped a 2B to RCF on a hard hit line drive that got to the wall in a hurry. One to follow as he continues to add strength.

Andrew Daigle | INF | Bridgeland | 2026 | Uncommitted

The 6’2”, 200-lb senior swung the bat well last week. He collected multiple knocks out of the 3-hole for the Bears, including a 2-run HR. He also looked the part defensively at 3B throughout the week.

Jack Snakenberg | LHP | Argyle | 2027 | Uncommitted

Quality start from the uncommitted junior at the Prep Baseball TX Invitational. Snakenberg struck out 8 over 6 innings, generating swing-and-miss with his three-pitch mix. The pitchability is there, with a potential velocity jump coming.

Brayden Harlan | C | Frisco Lone Star | 2027 | Uncommitted

Harlan played well behind the dish last week and also came up with a big swing for the Rangers on Friday, launching a HR to get them back in the game. Showed a solid approach at the plate with the ability to impact the baseball.

Jackson Greenway | 3B | Frisco Lone Star | 2026 | Uncommitted

Greenway delivered a solo HR on Saturday with a quality swing. The RH stroke plays, producing hard contact to the big part of the field. A big piece of the Rangers lineup out of the 3-hole.

Jayden Moeller | INF | Keller | 2027 | Uncommitted

Moeller continues to show aptitude for the game each time we see him. On Friday he went 2-for-2 for the Indians and added another knock on Saturday. An aggressive hitter who looks to impact the baseball but also does a good job shortening up when needed. Shows quality actions on the dirt as well.

Gerad Tucker | LHP | Keller | 2026 | Hardin-Simmons Commit

Tucker tossed a 4-inning no-hitter, keeping hitters off balance while pounding the zone. He struck out 5, consistently working ahead in counts and landing the CB for whiffs while limiting barrels throughout the outing.

Ethan Ingram | INF/OF | Denton Guyer | 2026 | West Virginia State Commit

Ingram is a strong, physical player who can really impact the baseball. We have seen him do it in events, and it’s fun to watch it translate into games. He absolutely punished a baseball for a no-doubt HR this past week. A swing with real bat speed.

Has the ability to play both INF and OF, bringing athleticism and versatility to the field.

Nash Hornberger | CIF | JJ Pearce | 2026 | Uncommitted

Hornberger swung the bat well this week, finding the barrel often. Solid swing with bat speed present. Gave the Mustangs an early lead over Flower Mound, and they didn’t look back.

Austin Basile | MIF | Frisco Lone Star | 2026 | Uncommitted

The uncommitted senior caught barrels out of the leadoff spot last week for the Rangers. Smooth LH stroke that produced a 2-run HR on Friday. Athletic on the dirt with solid defensive actions.

Aiden Beck | 1B/LHP | Wylie | 2028

The RHH has shown the ability to impact the baseball in front of us during the summer, and it translated to the spring season. He hit a HR and added a 2-RBI single on Friday. Already showing some power with plenty of upside left in the frame, and the arm works on the mound. One to follow.

Mateo Perez | CIF | Little Elm | 2026

Perez showed easy pull-side juice on a HR to LF for the Lobos. Doesn’t get cheated in the box and looks to do damage each time he steps in.

Ryan Rodriguez | RHP | Lubbock Cooper | 2026 | Uncommitted

The West Texas right-hander turned in a quality outing at the Prep Baseball TX Invitational. Works with a simple, low-effort delivery and still looks to have plenty more in the tank. An efficient strike-thrower who fills up the zone and competes on the mound. Also threw well against a solid lineup the week prior in Austin.

Colton Urban | OF | Bridgeland | 2027 | Uncommitted

Urban took quality swings all week, including a 3-run HR. Hit in big spots for the Bears and consistently found the barrel, producing runs for his club.

DJ Denney | SS | Argyle | 2027 | Uncommitted

Great build and frame with room to add strength. Actions present on the infield with a solid approach at the plate. Produces hard contact off the barrel, showing the ability to leave the yard to the pull side and drive balls into the gaps for extra bases. Will continue to improve.

Kenson Buth | 2B | Byron Nelson | 2027 | Baylor Commit

Physically looks great and has added strength with more still to come. Continues to impress at the plate with developing power and a consistent ability to get into a strong hitting position.

Went 9-for-20 on the weekend with 2 HR, 2 2B and 3 3B, while showing solid defensive actions at second base.

Mason Duncan | RHP | Flower Mound | 2027 | Texas State Commit

6’5”, 250 young right-hander with a big frame and room to continue adding strength.

FB: 86-89 with tail/sink from an LTQ slot
Cutter: 82-86 flashing quality action
CB: 78-79
CH: 78-80 with turnover and sink

Duncan worked 5.1 IP with 3 K, 1 ER and 2 BB, showing flashes of a quality mix. A big arm that will continue to develop.

Luke Sandefur | RHP | Aledo | 2026 | Abilene Christian Commit

Pitchability right-hander who won’t blow hitters away with velocity but knows how to pitch. Worked 88-89 and touched 90, showing the ability to work in and out with the fastball. Arm-side life present.

The changeup shows action and deception, effective against both LH and RH hitters and capable of generating swing-and-miss. Can spin a CB with depth at 72-74 and shows feel for a SL at 77-78.

Look for Sandefur to throw harder in the future. The CH/CB combination gives him a chance to make an immediate impact at ACU when he arrives on campus. Fun to watch pitch.

Teryn Byrne | RHP | Aledo | 2026 | Cisco Commit

6’3”, 165 with a lean, lanky build that will continue to add strength.

Repeats his delivery with present arm speed from an LTQ slot, varying slightly at times. Plenty of upside remaining as the frame fills out.

FB: 86-90 with arm-side tail and sink down
SL: 76-80 with sweep/slurvy action, developing into an average pitch
CH: 77-78 with turnover action and average deception

Projectable right-hander who should continue to develop. Great sign for Cisco.

Wilson Sehnem | OF | Aledo | 2026 | Uncommitted

The LHH outfielder showed feel to hit this weekend. Hitting either leadoff or in the 2-hole, Sehnem put together quality ABs with the ability to hit the baseball where it was pitched. Shows a consistent feel for the barrel.

The hit tool stands out for a HS player, and he is a solid defender in the OF with good feel for the game.

Landon Barnes | MIF | Aledo | 2026 | Weatherford Commit

Steady middle infielder with solid actions defensively and the ability to move well on the dirt. Average to slightly above-average runner.

Shows a solid hit approach with some pull-side power, consistently putting good swings on the baseball.

Luke Gladchuk | OF | Aledo | 2027 | Texas Commit

Projects well physically with room to continue adding strength. Athletic with a LH stroke that produces line-drive contact and a gap-to-gap approach. Steady defender in the OF who shows range.

Dylan Duran | 3B/1B | Aledo | 2026 | San Jacinto Commit

Solid build with present strength. Actions present on the infield, though range is fringe. Shows a solid hit approach with hard contact off the barrel. Look for the raw power to continue to develop. Love the makeup and overall approach.

Reid Huffman | C | Aledo | 2026 | Texas A&M-Texarkana Commit

The senior backstop walked off a big win over Keller with a 2-run HR, capping off the run rule victory. A steady defender behind the plate for the now #1 ranked Aledo Bearcats.

Brady Huffman | RHP | Aledo | 2026 | Texas A&M-Texarkana Commit

The senior RHP turned in a quality start for the Bearcats, filling up the zone with a mid-80s fastball and landing a solid breaking ball. Another dependable option on the mound for Aledo.

Kole Dailey | INF | Little Elm | 2027 | Uncommitted

Dailey provided a big spark for the Lobos in the nightcap Friday, launching a 3-run HR to LF. Athletic RHH with a frame that should continue to add strength.

Logan Brown | RHP/1B | Keller | 2026 | Houston Commit

Solid build with room to add strength. Repeats delivery well and the arm works.

CB: 73-75

Looking for increased velocity this spring. At the plate, shows bat strength and left the yard on Saturday. Power currently plays to the pull side, with additional raw power likely to develop.

Bentley Seeberger | C | Lubbock Cooper | 2027 | Uncommitted

Seeberger is a physical backstop with a strong arm behind the plate. Showed hard contact at the plate this weekend. Athletic build with present raw power.

Oscar Medina | RHP/OF | Pearland | 2027 | Uncommitted

The uncommitted Jr. was sharp in his outing. The fastball played up in the zone with heavy ASR, and he mixed speeds well with the CB/SPL combo, generating plenty of whiffs. Medina limited hard contact, allowing just 2 hits over 6.2 IP for the Oilers.

He is a plus runner and can swing it from the right side. Intriguing athletic 2-way.

Chase Martin | Wylie | 2026 | Bossier Parish Commit

Martin hit balls hard last week at the Prep Baseball Invitational, including a 2B and a 3-run HR over the scoreboard in LF. Strong presence in the middle of the Pirates lineup.

Trey Allen | C | Bridgeland | 2026 | McLennan Commit

Allen had a big game on Saturday for the Bears. A triple and a no doubt HR. Athletic backstop that can impact the game in a lot of ways.

Logan Richards | RHP | Flower Mound | 2027 | Uncommitted

Works with a simple, compact delivery with minimal moving parts and a frame that suggests the velocity will continue to rise. Fought some command late in the outing, but the stuff still flashed and the arm works well. Also picked up the save on Thursday night.

Garhett Love | RHP | Aledo | 2027 | Uncommitted

The junior kept hitters off balance throughout the game, flashing quality secondary pitches to complement the fastball. Love helped lead the Bearcats to a win against a tough opponent, mixing speeds effectively and competing in the zone. Another quality arm from Aledo.

Cameron Ireland | RHP | Keller | 2026 | Trinity (TX) Commit

Solid outing working 4 innings. 0 R, 1 H, 3 K. Worked 86-88 and touched 89. SL 77-80, CH 78. More velocity to come with the FB. Arm works and repeats delivery.

Brock Burkett | OF | Keller | 2026 | Weatherford Commit

Solid weekend showing the ability to handle the bat. Went 4-for-10 with 5 BB’s and just 1 K. Great approach at the plate and understands his abilities. Steady defender in the OF.

Connor Davenport | RHP | Keller | 2026 | Abilene Christian Commit

Showed FB 87-93, working mostly 88-91 and reaching back when needed. SL 81-82 plays best down in the zone with the ability to generate swing-and-miss. 4 IP, 4 K’s. Has the ability to work both as a starter and out of the bullpen at the next level.

Carson Lesley | OF | Keller | 2026 | Uncommitted

Good build/frame to add strength. Put together quality AB’s showing solid contact, with power likely to develop. Solid outfielder who moves well to the baseball and showed range. Went 7-for-17 in the tournament with 4 doubles.

Jayden Alvarado | RHP | Frisco Lone Star | 2027 | Uncommitted

6’4”, 200 with a great build/frame to add strength. Arm works with present arm speed. Repeats delivery with some effort present.

Long and lanky 6’5”, 160 frame with plenty of room to add strength. Arm works and arm speed should increase with strength and physical maturity.

Went 6.2 IP with 0 R vs Flower Mound HS. FB shows tail/sink and he flashed the ability to manipulate the slider. Developmental upside arm.

Lubin Rincon | SS | Shadow Creek | 2027 | Texas Commit

Rincon continues to look good on both sides of the ball. Smooth left-handed swing with easy juice and good plate discipline when pitched tough. Shows good range defensively with plenty of arm to handle the left side of the infield at a high level.

Adriel Rivera Alicea | C | Katy | 2028

Rivera had an outstanding week 2 tournament. Several multi-hit games which included 2 HR’s in one game. High barrel accuracy and always on base. One of the top catchers in his class. Can really defend it behind the dish.

Ashten Ballew | SS | Katy | 2026 | Uncommitted

Quick-twitch player with some strength to the hands. Ballew has a short stroke with fast hands and the ball tends to jump off his bat. Very athletic mover, which translates to his defense where he can cover ground on the left side. Has the versatility to play all over the field.

Scotty Zuehlke | 1B/OF | Katy | 2028

Big, strong LH bat with a simple approach. Zuehlke hit 2 HR’s in a single game while driving in 4. Projects as a middle-of-the-order type hitter with some versatility defensively. Good mover for his size. Player to watch.

Yates Ashley | LHP | Katy | 2028

Great frame at 6’4”, 203 lbs. The LHP sat 88-89 and T91. SL sat 78-79 with good break, and the CH sat 77-78. Ashley showed feel for all three pitches. Finished 4 IP / 2 H / 1 BB / 7 K. Big-time upside.

Marcus Cantu | SS | Lutheran South | 2026 | Coastal Carolina Commit

Solid defender with good lateral range. Shows quick feet with rhythm and timing to catch. Strong arm across the diamond. Plus runner and mover on the field. The LHH shows the ability to spray the ball line-to-line and drive balls through the gaps.

Jaylen Walker | OF | Lutheran South | 2026 | Houston Commit

Big-time athlete with a ton of tools. At the plate he has a heavy barrel and can hit balls a long way. Likes the ball out over the plate where he can get extended and typically uses the big part of the field. Shows tons of arm strength along with mobility and range defensively. Has the ability to be a difference maker.

David Corona | RHP | Lutheran South | 2027 | Uncommitted

Corona is a talented player who is starting to figure things out on the mound. Live arm with low mileage.

Miles Young | SS | Episcopal | 2026 | Georgia Commit

Young is a dynamic player with multiple tools in his arsenal. Put together good AB’s this week with multiple multi-hit games and used the big part of the field with runners in scoring position. Can turn a 1B into a 2B. Versatile defender with a good arm and quick release. Fun player to watch.

Reed Newkirk | OF | Lake Creek | 2026 | Army Commit

Newkirk showed well this week with multiple extra-base hits from the 3-hole. Quick hands with the ability to get the barrel out and handle velocity. Looked good defensively as well, covering ground in CF. Plays hard.

CJ Sampson | OF | Tomball | 2026 | Texas A&M Commit

Sampson had another good week at the plate. Consistently produces hard contact and finds the barrel. Short stroke and stays inside the baseball. Really like the makeup. Puts his head down, plays hard, and competes.

Catcher Hopkins | C | Tomball | 2026 | Texas A&M Commit

Hopkins came up clutch this week, driving a 3-run HR to tie the game. Multi-hit game that included a HR and a 2B. Good LH stroke that sprays the ball all over the yard. Versatile defender with a plus arm behind the plate.
