Missouri JUCO baseball is in full swing and here at Prep Baseball Missouri we wanted to provide a check-in on the scores from across the Missouri JUCO landscape over the third week of gameplay.
Within these weekly pieces, you will be able to find all the JUCO scores from across the state, as well as other news and notes across the state's JUCO landscape.
STAT RATS
+ Metropolitan CC OF Shane Barnett (SO) currently paces the region in batting average with a .600 mark, which is also third in NJCAA Division I. St. Louis CC OF Nicholas Bonczkowski (SO) and Three Rivers College C Jaxon Jones (FR) follow with .542 and .533 marks respectivley.
+ Jefferson College C Andrew Sands (FR) has continued his hot start to the season, sitting atop the region with 18 RBIs and tied for the regional lead in home runs (5) with Moberly Area CC C/INF AJ Lucas (SO).
+ Three Rivers College OF Dominic McKnight (RS FR) is the first to reach double digit stolen bases, leading the conference with 10 on the year.
+ LHP Mason Schirmer (FR, Crowder College) and RHP Jett Sutton (SO, Mineral Area College; Missouri State) continue to solidify their spots atop the regional leaderboards. Schirmer owns a 1.80 ERA, while Sutton has racked up 24 strikeouts, both the top marks in their respective statistical categories.
+ After picking up the save in Sunday’s win over Kankakee CC, Three Rivers College RHP Rex Tedder (SO) now leads the conference with three saves. Teammate RHP Ashton Williams (RS FR) ranks second with two.
