Texas Rankings Update: Class of 2029 (Feb. 2026)

The 2026 high school season is upon us, which means it's time for an update to our state rankings. Today, we cpntinue our rankings updates with the 2029 class. This is the first update for this class and includes 80 players in total. This list will surely grow and expand after this coming high school baseball season and is still just a starting point for this talented class. We have added players that we have seen in the short time since the initial release but expect this list to keep expanding, the more we see this class.

Highly projectable frame with plenty of room to add strength. Showed the ability to impact the baseball with emerging pull-side power. Moves well defensively in the outfield with athletic actions.
On the mound, the left-handed arm works with some length to the action. Touched 85 mph in a short pen and flashed feel for secondary stuff.
Talented two-way player with tools that are trending up. Impressive young prospect making a strong move.
Vincent Pawlak | RHP | Stratford

Tall, projectable frame with significant upside. Sat 86–87, T88 from a H3/4 slot. Shows command of the entire mix with a breaking ball spinning 2400+ rpm. Slider features quick, late action. Changeup is a plus secondary with solid arm-side run. A projectable arm with present pitchability and feel.

Continues to trend upward each look. Approach has matured, showing the ability to drive the baseball the other way. Arm strength and athleticism are progressing. Already producing consistent triple-digit exit velos and still adding strength. The arrow continues to point up.
Nicholas Mendoza | OF/RHP | The John Cooper School

Standout at the South TX Preseason All-State. Promising two-way upside. Quality BP round with hard line drives to the middle of the field. Sub-7 runner who moves well defensively. On the mound, up to 85 mph with more in the tank. Low pulse, high-confidence competitor.

Dual-sport athlete (WR/DB/ATH) with tools that translate on the diamond. Runs well, covers ground in the outfield, and pressures defenses on the bases. Right-handed swing plays with a gap-to-gap approach and future power potential. New to the rankings and a name to follow.

Physical left-handed hitter with significant power projection. Hit tool is trending positively this preseason and should carry into the regular season. Young LHH with legitimate upside and strength to impact the baseball.

Legitimate two-way potential. Arm works on the mound; commands the fastball (up to 84 mph in September) and shows feel for both changeup and slider. On the dirt, hands and feet work with developing actions. Line-drive approach at the plate. Versatile player trending up.

Sub-7 runner with quality defensive actions. Shows good feel for the barrel and ability to hit in-game. As strength continues to develop, expect power to follow. Athletic middle infielder with upside.

Athletic young prospect with physicality for his age. Strong mover who ran a 6.86 60. Projects well in the outfield with present tools. Shows bat speed and strength, topping 102.3 mph EV. Impact potential with plenty of development ahead.
Easton Moore | SS/RHP | Burleson Centennial
NR → 71
Lean, projectable build. Developing actions on the infield with working hands and carry to throws. Solid hit approach with feel for the barrel; impact will increase with strength. On the mound, the arm works with present quickness and feel for slider action. Two-way player with upside as physical maturity sets in.
