Super 60 Standouts

Alex Weingartner OF / RHP / St. Augustine Prep, NJ / 2026

What hasn’t already been said about Alex Weingartner’s showing in Chicago? The versatile 6-foot, 200-pound athlete wasted no time making his presence felt, opening the Super 60 by shattering the event record with a blazing 6.24 60-yard dash. From there, it turned into a full-blown tools showcase. The Penn State commit lit up batting practice with a 107.5 MPH peak EV (102.5 MPH average) and a max distance of 425 ft, powered by 82 MPH bat speed via Blast Motion. Defensively, uncorked 100 MPH arm strength from the outfield, firmly placing himself on the spring follow lists of MLB scouts. And just for good measure, even without stepping on the mound in Chicago, Weingartner’s arm talent is well documented, having previously touched 94 MPH with 2470 RPM on the heater. St. Augustine Prep should be appointment viewing this spring. With loud, verified tools across the board and elite athletic upside, Weingartner is positioning himself as a legitimate late riser heading into July’s draft.

Mickey Gilligan C / OF / Passaic Tech, NJ / 2026

Rutgers’ recruiting efforts paid off with the commitment of elite defensive backstop Mickey Gilligan. The 6-foot, 190-pound Passaic Tech catcher stood out defensively as expected, reaffirming his status as one of the premier throwing catchers in the 2026 class. Gilligan features an ultra-quick exchange with 87 MPH arm strength out of the crouch. Every pop time checked in under 1.80, highlighted by a best of 1.74. The defense translates cleanly in game, showing an aggressive mindset to throw and the confidence to back-pick runners. Offensively, Gilligan shows quick hands and whippy bat speed through the zone with a strong gap-to-gap approach. Exit velocity peaked at 104 MPH, clocked a 7.04 60-yard dash.

Luke Williams SS / OF / Franklin Regional, PA / 2026

Hyper quick-twitch athlete at 6-foot, 180 pounds, showing explosive athleticism across all facets of the game. Runs a 6.48 60-yard dash with a rapid first step. The Vanderbilt commit is a bouncy defender with excellent lateral agility and a plus arm, 91 MPH across the infield (previously up to 96 MPH) with two outfield throws reaching 100 MPH. At the plate, he accelerates the barrel through the zone with ease, generating exit velocities up to 105 MPH with a max distance of 389 feet. His approach is geared toward lifting the baseball, consistently driving it to both gaps. Luke Williams is a name to watch on draft day this July.

Daniel Kellis RHP / OF / Radnor, PA / 2026

Kellis is a long-limbed, imposing presence on the mound at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds. The arsenal matches the frame, headlined by a four-seam fastball sitting 94–96 MPH from a low three-quarter slot. An even heavier sinker complements the heater, generating up to 21 inches of run with just 2 inches of IVB. The Wake Forest commit rounds out the mix with a two-tier slider spinning at 2530 RPM and a heavy, bowling-ball splitter showing up to -3.5 inches of IVB.

David Hinojosa RHP / 2B / Poly Prep, NY / 2026

Hinojosa’s name has circulated in discussions surrounding Northeast 2026 draft prospects for some time now. The arm speed consistently stands out, and after fellow Poly Prep right-hander Miguel Sime was selected in the fourth round (111th overall) by the Washington Nationals last year, Hinojosa appears firmly positioned to enter serious draft conversations this July. The 6-foot, 190-pound Vanderbilt commit has run his four-seamer up to 97 MPH. Lean, loose, and highly flexible, he operates with a long, full arm swing that produces easy velocity. Hinojosa shows feel for two secondary offerings, leaning primarily on a 79–81 MPH two-tier breaking ball that reaches north of 2600 RPM. The natural feel to spin suggests considerable projection remains in the breaker. He also mixes in a heavy 91 MPH sinker with only 1 inch of IVB and 20+ inches of arm-side run. Mid-80s changeup flashes promising traits as well.

Devin Diaz C / OF / Iona Prep, NY / 2026

The top-ranked catcher in New York and No. 9 nationally, standing 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, made a strong statement at the Super 60. The Miami commit is an elite defender, showcasing quick, efficient transfers and a strong arm up to 87 MPH, with pop times as low as 1.93 seconds. A plus runner for a catcher, Diaz also clocks a 6.56 60-yard dash. At the plate, he combines a wide base with a compact stroke, producing exit velocities up to 102 MPH and a max distance of 390 feet.

Justin Munoz C / OF / Millbrook School, NY / 2026

Physical athlete with a muscular 6-foot, 210-pound frame. The Virginia Tech commit showcases a strong, low-effort swing at the plate, producing exit velocities up to 104.5 MPH with a max distance of 394 ft (previously 406 ft). Defensively, Muñoz employs a compact arm action out of the crouch, up to 82 MPH down to second with pop times as low as 2.04. He also ran a 7.22-second 60-yard dash.
