Grip strength is a measure of a players bat control and ability to transfer power and speed during impact, measured in pounds of force generated; collected with elbow bent at 90 degrees.
Physical: Ultra-athletic 5-foot-9, 150lb frame with feel present at such a young age. 7.35 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, narrow stance at an even position as the hands operated calmly on the shoulder to start. Utilized some stretch in the hands and higher leg-kick stride to initiate the swing through a flat path towards a two-handed finish. Lifted at times producing an 82 mph bat-exit velocity and a developing extra-base hit approach. Bat-speed for size is impressive.
Defensively: One of the more electric rounds of defense from the preseason, Williams stayed up-tempo and glided across the infield. Fielded off of his left side with excellent timing at the window. Notched an 85 mph arm-strength with some carry and could throw off the back leg, too in the hole. Made all the plays.
