Overall Summary

Lake Oswego enters the 2026 season as a team we're bullish on to take a big step forward from a year ago. The Lakers are led by senior Linn-Benton CC commit Carsten Lemon, who returns as a middle of the order presence and a high arm talent. Lemon hit .329 with 4 HR and 19 RBI last spring, and was seen up to 89 MPH on the mound at last fall's Prep Baseball West Coast Games. Lefty Caden Gerritz also returns, manning centerfield in his senior season as a speedy top of the order player. Gerritz is also the innings leader on the mound of all returning arms. Lake Oswego does graduate several players who hit near the top of their batting order last spring, so they'll look to players such as Kellan Sheldon and Hudson Hammersley to contribute more consistently. Senior Hudson Giboney and sophomore Ryan Warhank could be other players who factor in offensively. Lake Oswego faces tough matchups from the start of their season to the end, playing in one of the toughest leagues in Oregon, including matchups with Tualatin, Central Catholic, Grant, and Jesuit. If Lake Oswego can lean on their experienced upperclassman, expect them to compete at the 6A level in 2026.
