Below we have scouting notes from some of the class of 2028 standouts at the event.

TOP PITCHERS

Braxtyn Blank-Jimenez RHP / OF / Skutt Catholic, NE / 2028

Blank-Jimenez turned in one of the louder pitching performances in the class with a fastball up to 90.4 mph. The frame is tall and projectable and the delivery repeats well, which usually points to more velocity coming. He already shows a feel for commanding the fastball and spinning it, giving him the look of a high-upside arm as he continues to mature.

Hank Vosik SS / RHP / Creighton Preparatory School, NE / 2028

Vosik ran the fastball up to 90.1 mph on the mound, another reminder of the athleticism that shows up all over his game. The arm is quick and loose, and the same traits translate to his work at shortstop and at the plate. With exit velocities north of 100 mph and a frame that fits the position, he has firmly established himself as one of the better two-way prospects in the 2028 class.

Will Kaskie RHP / 3B / Kearney High School, NE / 2028

Kaskie reached 89 mph with a clean delivery and arm action that looks built for a starter’s workload. The ball comes out with good downhill angle and he showed the ability to locate it. For a sophomore, the overall presence on the mound stood out and points toward continued development.

Madden Schwager 3B / RHP / Southwest High School, NE / 2028

Schwager showed a fastball up to 87.1 mph with a strong and accurate arm. The physical build and competitive effort hint that more velocity could be on the way as he gets stronger. Add in his ability on the infield and he becomes another intriguing two-way player in a talented class.

TOP HITTERS

Levi Anthony OF / RHP / Creighton Preparatory School, NE / 2028

Anthony posted the top exit velocity in the class at 102.9 mph. The bat speed jumps out right away and the swing produces firm line drives with carry. Pair that with his athleticism in the outfield and you start to see a player with real offensive upside as he continues to develop.

Duncan Hansen 3B / RHP / Westside High School, NE / 2028

Hansen produced a 101.9 mph exit velocity with a powerful swing geared to do damage on the pull side. The sturdy frame helps generate strength through contact and there is clear run-producing potential in the bat. If the power continues to trend upward, he could become a major offensive piece at third base.

Markus Gorup SS / 3B / Elkhorn South, NE / 2028

Gorup reached 101.7 mph while showing quick hands and consistent barrel accuracy. The power shows up mostly gap to gap right now, but there is room for more as he adds strength. Combined with his defensive instincts at shortstop, it creates a well-rounded middle infield profile.

Cade Anderson RHP / 3B / Lincoln East High School, NE / 2028

Anderson flashed his two-way ability with a 101.5 mph exit velocity and a loose, natural swing that produced consistent contact. On the mound he worked in the 84 to 86 mph range and showed a polished three-pitch mix. The overall skill set makes him one of the more interesting two-way follows in the class.
