Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2026 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2026.

#10 Landon Bears 

The highest preseason-ranked team in the IAC, Landon enters the 2026 spring as the favorite in our eyes to finally get over the hump and take the IAC title. It won't be easy, as Georgetown Prep has reigned superior, winning six consecutive titles and brings back a strong group once again in 2026. The Bears have a highly talented pitching rotation and return a slew of impact bats from a year ago, possessing some of the top experience and talent you will find across the IAC. If this team can pitch up to expectations, and the lineup proves consistency, look for Landon to keep climbing our Power 25 as the season rolls on.
