2026 Prep Baseball Minnesota Preseason ID-Twin Cities: Event Preview

SAVAGE, MN - On Sunday, March, 8th, Prep Baseball Minnesota travels to MASH Facility in Savage to host the MN Preseason ID: Twin Cities. The events will feature over 96 prospects from the class of 2026 through 2029. This collection of players will include plenty of fresh faces as well as returning faces.

Our staff strategically hosts Preseason ID events throughout the state in search of players who have taken advantage of the offseason, identifying new prospects to add to our follow lists or players our staff is already familiar with who are on the rise.

EVENT HISTORY

One of the standouts on the mound at last year's event was:

Wyatt Gelineau RHP / 3B / Eagan, MN / 2028

Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 2

Eagan's Wyatt Gelineau, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed pitcher in the 2028 graduating class, currently ranked No. 7th in Minnesota. He has an athletic frame with room to add strength, which should allow his velocity and durability to improve as he develops. On the mound, Gelineau features a mid-80s fastball that he commands well and uses effectively to challenge hitters in the zone. Gelineau was invited to the Super Sophomore games where he competed for Team Minnesota last August at Creekside in Kansas City.

Offensively, one player to highlight from last year's event:

Caleb Martin OF / 2B / Big Lake High School, MN / 2027

Caleb Martin, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound outfielder from Big Lake High School in the 2027 graduating class. A left-handed hitter, Martin stands out for his physical frame and the strength he generates at the plate. Offensively, Martin shows good bat speed and the ability to drive the baseball. His swing works well from the left side with natural leverage, allowing him to produce solid contact and projectable power as he continues to add strength to his frame. Uncommitted and currently ranked 62nd in Minnesota's 2027 class
