Prep Baseball Report

South Carolina Player Of The Year Watchlist

Sammy Esposito
PB SC Director of Scouting

The 2026 high school season opens next week, and the Prep Baseball South Carolina Player of the Year race already has shape.  These candidates enter the spring with expectations built on last season’s production and offseason work.  They trained with purpose.  They return with roles as lineup anchors, rotation leaders, and tone setters for their programs.

Some bring power arms with pace and command.  Others bring advanced bats with discipline and damage across the field.  Defense shows up every night. So does competitiveness.  These players influence games in multiple ways and push standards in practice and competition.

This award tracks performance from the first pitch to the final out of the season.  It rewards durability, consistency, and impact against top competition.  The race starts now.  The 2026 season will decide who separates.
