2026 OSSAA Team Preview: Heritage Hall Chargers

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Coach’s Insight: “Offense could be very solid. Have to make sure we don’t give teams extra outs by not catching the ball” – Mickey Tettleton , head coach
Outlook: The Chargers return a talented core from a season ago that saw them continue to grow and develop throughout the spring. They will add to that core with talented underclassmen that we anticipate will find ways to contribute early. Defensively, Heritage Hall will have returners in some key spots throughout the middle of the diamond as well as offer some versatility with players having the ability to defend in multiple spots. Offensively, they have the makings of one of the toughest offenses in a loaded 4A. It will be fun to see Coach Tettleton's thumbprint on this group as they continue to develop and become even more dynamic. A year ago, they lost some games late or weren't able to manufacture a run when it mattered - we see this squad playing fundamental baseball at a high level when it matters most.
